Looking for a secluded rustic retreat? Then this is the perfect place to come and get some R&R or bring the family for some hiking and fishing. Just 6 miles from beautiful Lake O the Pines, 20 mins from the quaint town of Jefferson where antiquing abounds.This beautiful log cabin sits on 40 private acres. Lots of trails to explore and a fully stocked acre pond. Wake up to the tranquil sounds & sights of Mother Nature. The space Littlecreek Cabin is equipped with a state of the art air/heating Air Purifying System (GPS2400) which has been proven to reduce or eliminate virus, bacteria, mold, allergies, dust, odors and much, much more. Our GPS2400 system provides VOC and pathogen control to help protect our guests from the spread of viruses. So if you're concerned about allergies, asthma, virus, bacteria, etc. Littlecreek is doing all it can to help protect you and your family. Littlecreek is the perfect place to come unwind. The cabin has everything you need to get away but still has all the amenities of home. You could make a 4 course meal or just flip some burgers on the propane grill. After dinner you could play a round of horseshoes or one of the games in the entertainment center. If you just wanted to gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows or have a cold beer and visit. Then head inside after a fun day of playing and fishing, throw some clothes in the washer, take a hot shower and snuggle up in your king size bed to enjoy some cable TV or run down to the local Redbox and rent a movie to watch on the Blueray DVD player in the living room. The bunk beds are both full size beds. Wake up in the morning to the sweet smell of coffee or tea to enjoy while you watch the sun rise and the deer drinking from the pond from the porch. This is a great place for people who want to fly south for the winter or have that big fishing tournament and want to be close to the lake for that early launch, but still want the luxuries of home. Guest access The entire house and land are available to you. Plenty of room for truck and boat with places to plug up and charge your batteries. A circle drive for easy entry and exit. There is a place for you to put horses for the night. Its just a fenced in area with open covered shelters that they can get under for the night. But it is available if you need it. Other things to note There is NO hunting or shooting on the property! Fishing in the pond is by host permission only and is only catch and release. The pictures are also captioned with information if you click on them. Cell phone service is spotty unless you have Verizon. But there is a landline in case of emergencies. The road to the cabin is an old beat up country road that can be worse during bad weather. But, our cleaning lady drives a mini van that’s low to the ground and she is able to get there in even the worst weather with no problems. If you are bringing your furbabies. Our pet policy: Please read and let us know that you agree to follow: You must disclose if you are bringing any animals. Pets are allowed but guests must be very considerate. We love your furbabies and we want them to have a great time. But we ask that you do your part when they come to stay with you at the cabin. No accidents, no damage, no hair and no poop inside or outside the cabin. You must prevent dogs from peeing on the cabin logs, porches and pergola. Pet waste must be disposed of in bags and put in the trash. We do provide bags if needed. You must cover beds and furniture with one of our provided -Petami- blankets located in the hall closet if you are allowing pets on furniture. We provide a vacuum for you, so you can make sure there isn't any hair left behind. If you are leaving them alone in the cabin, we ask that they are crated or you can put them in the outside dog run. You must keep an eye on your dog's when they are outside and not allow them to chase the ducks. Please keep dogs inside when ducks come up to eat. We do not charge extra for your pets to stay as we depend on you to clean up after them. We would like to keep it that way, but we can only do that if you do your part. If there is damage or excessive hair left behind there will be an additional charge. Feels like you're in your own small valley with beautiful land, trees, hills, a pond, trails, and cute ducks. No neighbors to be seen and the night sky was just wonderful. The cabin was clean comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer but reality called us back home. We wanted off the beaten path with the creature comforts of home and this was it!!! We will definitely be back. Our only regret was that we didn't have longer to stay. The ducks made our stay. We sat on the porch and laughed at them most of the day. Katie was VERY responsive and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Five STARS just aren't enough!!! ##### Keelie F. So glad we found this ideal location. Away from noise and city lights. Well kept modern cabin with everything you need. Very comfortable bed, although, you could easily fall asleep on the oversized adjustable couch. Beautiful sunsets and able to see the stars at night! Grass is cut around the house and down to the pond so you don’t have to worry about chiggers, fleas or ticks. Lot of areas to roam with your dogs. A fishing pond with good size bass. I can keep going, but you can experience all this for yourself. The best place we’ve found to stay and is our go to spot in Texas!! ##### Florrie L. The property is clean, well maintained, updated with appliances, and just beautiful. We did it all, hiked the short easy trails, fished (catch and release only), had a fire in the fire pit, grilled, and enjoyed the peaceful scenery on the porch. The ducks were so cute and friendly. We had a few questions the first full day, and Katie was quick to respond. We ventured out to Daingerfield State Park and had an amazing time there! The kitchen is well equipped for anything you need! Pro tip: bring a few paper plates along. The dishes work great but for our family we had to wash quite a bit. The grill is very nice too—another pro tip: bring a lighter :) it was so fun and we would love to return for another stay! Thank you so much to the lovely hosts! The entire cabin, grounds and amenities were exactly as described in the online pictures and details. We had everything we needed in the way of kitchen and bath and bed items, and all appliances were updated. Both the exterior and interior of the cabin were beautiful pine wood, and the decor was perfect for a country log cabin. We enjoyed relaxing on the very comfortable furniture on both the front and side porches, as well as the covered barbecue pavilion. Having the ducks come up from the pond to greet us each day added a real delight to our stay. Littlecreek is spotlessly maintained, and the grounds are both scenic and very well kept. If you want to have a vacation in the country that will exceed your expectations, you will certainly get that with Littlecreek Cabin. By far, the best choice we could have made for our weekend country getaway! ##### Jayne V. We are from Iowa and wanted to escape our freezing temps by going to Texas for Thanksgiving. We found this listing on VRBO, and it looked perfect for us. We are elderly and we travel with our 11 y/o Malti-poo. We found Little Creek to work out great for all 3 of us. The cabin was nicely furnished and clean with all appliances in good working order. The hot water was plentiful, and they had a combo coffee pot plus an expresso maker. A really nice bonus was having a washer and dryer. All plumbing worked perfectly. Our little dog loved taking walks with us all over the property - I particularly loved walking down to the pier to watch the ducks. We were only about 20 miles from Jefferson, Texas and we enjoyed going thru the shops and we had our wonderful Thanksgiving meal at the 1852 on Austin Restaurant. The people were so friendly, and the food was great. There were abundant fishing and water sports nearby for those that would enjoy it, but we were there more to just relax, rest and travel to the small towns nearby. We spent evenings in the very comfy reclining sofa in the living area watching a movie or two. Katie was a very special host and communicated well.
