Splash Mountain Mansion: The Dream Family Getaway!

"We had a great time overall. The home is very large, the kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, and the resort amenities were nice. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rest of the property did not meet our expectations.Several areas appeared to be missed between guests, including some beds, the outdoor porch, pool and hot tub areas, and the grounds between the houses. We found hair in beds, vape items, cigarette packs, chew, clothing, used Band-Aids, cans, water bottles, and other belongings left behind by previous guests. The resort pool area also had trash, toys, and clothing that remained throughout our stay. Which I am sure was a result of arriving after Labor Day. It seems the cleaning staff may simply be stretched too thin for a property of this size. These issues plus a list of maintenance items were communicated to the property manager, and we were offered a cleaning crew the next day but declined as we had already taken care of most the immediate issues. We enjoyed our stay, but the lack of consistent cleaning in the house and shared outdoor areas would make us hesitant to book again, which I had planned to do around the Holidays. I was surprised at the overwhelmingly positive cleanliness reviews until I realized that negative reviews were negated by a partial cleaning fee refund (6% of our total stay) that was offered prior to review posts. Obviously I declined."

"It’s an excellent facility w four bedrooms on each of three levels. We especially enjoyed the large first floor deck over looking the lake. It was a popular place for many family chats. Rocking chairs provided for abt 20. Host checked in frequently. Clean and well maintained. Host responded promptly to a few minor issues. Highly recommended. We might be back next year."

"This house was nice and big. Very clean. The view was exceptional. Loved sitting on the deck and drinking coffee in the mornings. Sitting on the deck at night was just as beautiful. The only thing that we found not to our liking was the couch in the main living room. It was really uncomfortable as you had to lean all the way back to the back of the couch which made it hard to sit up, as well as put a strain on your back. Unless you put 2 pillows behind you. One of the chairs in the dining room was very loose and one of us almost fell out of it. But that's an easy fix for the owners. The driveway is very steep and narrow you have to back out of it which is hard due to the drive being so steep and then having a sharp turn on the road once at the top of the drive way. The drive way is to narrow to turn a truck or a big suv around in it. But other then those small things we were very pleased with the house."

"We had an amazing time at the cabin. Loved being in nature. We visited moonshine beach, silver dollar city, eureka springs and dogwood canyon. There were 6 of us and all had enough room and the kids loved sleeping ok the mezzanine. Maggie was a lovely host and I was able to contact her with any issues and she promptly replied. Thank you Maggie for allowing us a bit of time in your paradise."

"We had an amazing stay! The location was perfect, with so much to do between all the games, pools, and lake without leaving the propoerty. We had a group of 20, including three little ones, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy meals together. The house had everything we needed and made it so easy for everyone to spend quality time together. We made so many wonderful family memories here and would definitely love to return! Highly recommend!"

"Lake side cabins. Remodeled, comfortable and well stocked. Clean pool with slide that the kids loved. Golf cart rentals were very convenient. 2 docks for fishing & swimming. Cabins are close together and parking was alittle tight but this did not effect our stay. We really enjoyed our 4 night trip and will definitely be back again! Communication is fast and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who wants lake side convenience at an affordable price."
