About this property

Dog-friendly Maine 1 BR lakeside cottage with WiFi, laundry, and full kitchen.

  • Your cozy getaway awaits in Augusta at this charming lakeside cottage. With 1 bedroom featuring a plush queen bed, it's the perfect retreat for couples or solo guests with/without pets. Amenities include WiFi, in-window AC in the bedroom + living room, full kitchen, and a washer/dryer. A ramp from the driveway to the deck, walk-in shower with grab bars, and a low step into the house make it friendly for people with mobility issues. The large deck out front has a table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a smaller deck out back lets you take coffee with lake views.

The yard is fenced and dogs are welcome as long as the dog is not a puppy (for the sake of the furniture!). Owners of dogs under 30 lb need to be mindful that they might wriggle under the gate; we recommend small dogs stay leashed and supervised. And yes, we do allow multiple dogs, but please let us know if it's more than two.

Early risers will be rewarded with pastel sunrises over still waters; night owls can watch the stars reflect in the water from the back deck. Relax in the recliner and listen to the loons calling, golf at the nearby links, walk down by the Kennebec River, visit historic Old Fort Western, go antiquing in Hallowell, or bring your fishing rod and try for bass or pickerel in the pond. Our property provides a comfortable and inviting home away from home—off the beaten path, but it's only a 15- to 20-minute drive to restaurants, shopping, and more.
