Booked this a a surprise for My husbands 65th and Retirement, certainly not what we expected, the room was Dated and tired ,carpet stained, broken toilet seat, marks all over the furniture. Facilities, the spa , broken hot tub, dirty loungers no supervision children running in and out of a very hot sauna and using a 40 degree hot tub, Breakfast was awful, cold undercooked omelette, everything on the buffet was cold , then I couldn’t believe my eyes, a five star hotel serving Pak n save pies for breakfast. To top it off the bar the only bar closed at 10.30pm on a Saturday night. To sum it up, this is not a five star hotel I would struggle to give it three stars, definitely won’t be staying there again.

We visited Auckland for my birthday. On arrival I asked for an upgrade. Although the hotel was busy, we were offered a suite for an extra $80 per night. We grabbed the deal and the suite was perfect for our 2 night stay. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Thankyou so much for making our stay special. 😃😉

Our favorite place to stay, convenient to everything, the staff are lovely, if your a SHOW member at Skycity then even better. Cheaper or FREE parking depending on the status of your membership. There is a nice terrace outside (where you can vape or smoke), a gym with basic gear (still better than nothing) a sauna and spa. The restaurants are yummy. The East Day Spa is an amazing, beautiful treat. We can't wait to stay again. Highly recommend and its even better when Expedia have a special.

While our room was comfortable & great location - the staff need to work on their customer service. We weren't advised of our free room credit on check in & even when I confirmed it with staff, it wasn't applied at check out. until I reminded them again that we were over charged. Check out is 11am but house keeping knocked on our door at 9.30am asking to make up the room. Also at check out after settling our room service bill, the receptionist asked to see the credit card we used for the bond again, which was unnecessary and a bit rude. Staff aside, the room was great.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Grand by SkyCity Auckland. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city, enjoy the waterfront, and access great restaurants and attractions. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were exceptional, friendly, professional, and always willing to help with recommendations or any requests we had. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a luxurious feel while still being welcoming and comfortable. We especially appreciated the convenient access to SkyCity and the variety of dining options nearby. This was the perfect way to end our New Zealand adventure, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!
