Leider in einer Nacht früh um 5 Uhr sehr laut durch viele Fahrzeug und klirrende Geräusche von außen. In der Wohnung auch selbst sehr viele Geräusche von irgendwelchen Leitungen. Waschmaschine konnte leider nicht genutzt werden. Die Waschmaschinentür konnte nicht geöffnet werden. Wir erhielten ein Video mit einer Anleitung zur Türöffnung. Diese half allerdings nicht. Wir sollten daher ein Video erstellen, wie wir die Tür gemäß Anleitung versuchen zu öffnen. Das haben wir getan und dem Vermieter zugeschickt. Darauf haben wir allerdings keine Antwort und Unterstützung mehr erhalten. So you won't find aa sign telling you where to go. You go to a little grocery store across the street from the building that has a hotel but not your hotel. The grocery store didn't know we were coming so they had to contact the owners before giving us the key. The bathroom sink was clogged with hair but the owner had it fixed for us the next day. The street can be a bit noisy. The only actually complaint about the building is the trash bins right outside the apartment. The waterfront was a quick walk away, Queen St. is right outside your door, and the rest of the city is within easy reach whether you are walking or taking transit. The hosts Lily and Eric left a fantastic booklet full of recommendations (do not skip Food Alley!!) and checked in almost daily to make sure we had everything we need. The washer/dryer was a GODSEND after spending 10 days in a campervan, too. If I get a chance to come back to Auckland (and I hope too, it is one of my favorite cities!)
