This location (1h20m from central Auckland) is perfect to relax and unwind or to be active with walking, swimming (boulder beach), biking, kayaking, or fishing. The sea is in front of you and the view of the Coromandel Peninsula across the Firth of Thames is stunning. The upstairs living (two of the bedrooms and a bathroom are downstairs) with decks north and east provides a delightful perch over the vast bay. There are lawns at the front and the back of the house. The Waharau Regional Park just down the road offers several flat and hilly tracks for varying levels of fitness, and for real walking enthusiasts the Hunua range is accessible from the park. The closest shop is 9 kms south at Kaiaua, where you can rent a bike, buy fish & chips, petrol and there is a pub.
