We were only able to stay one night, but we would recommend this B&B to anyone. We appreciated the location (like the quiet neighborhood), and had a delicious personally prepared hot breakfast, made to order. The owner (sorry I don't remember his name!) was really friendly and helpful. We liked the fact that we could book a room that had a big bed for me and my husband, and a separate room with 2 twin beds for our kids. Convenient and cozy. Not a lot of space if you have a lot of luggage, but that's the only slight disadvantage. All else was really good.

Ok, very warm welcome. Solid rooms and good location on AKL.
Ok. Owners were friendly and helpful but a little bit run down and lacking on comfort and facilities, so not good value for the cost. WiFi was an extra cost and tv was small old 14inch with no cable channels. Shower was frustrating as the temperature and water flow varied to a trickle.

Very handy to Parnell and the Spark Arena
Rooms could do with a spuce up, nice old villa though. The breakfast was nice, and we got it at a good rate due to booking over six months ahead. Air con or a fan in the bedroom would make it more comfortable, as Auckland can be very humid. There are no lifts, so you need to use the stairs to stay there, not good if you have bad joints.
Nice couple running the chalet but I don't think we would stay there again.
Room booked was a king - was given a single room with a stained carpet in basement with a open window at street level. Woke up to find cockroaches in the shower - went out to the city for the day and locked the window because of my stuff being in the room (Macbook pro ect) and return to find the room cleaned - dead cockroaches missing from the shower and my street level window wide open ( this was to clear the musty smell of the room i understand) . Clearly they do not care about personal belongings or there guests stuff as both could have been stolen. I booked for two nights they never mentioned the roaches to me. it was such a bad experience that i left after one night and did not return even though i paid for two.
After booking on Wotif we arrived at the hotel only to find the doors locked and several people trying to contact the staff. Eventually, I called the listed number and got through to a lady, who clearly was not pleased to be contacted. After a short exchange where I was being told that I had missed their check in time (none of this was evident on Wotif or notifications sent by Wotif). The lady then, proceeded to ask me when I had booked (it was several hours before, but not relevant to the discussion). Eventually the lady passed me on to the ‘manager’ who was with her. This gentleman was even more abrasive than the lady, he insisted to know what time I had booked, argued with me regarding what was advertised on Wotif and generally had the ‘why are you bothering me’ vibe. He then suggested that I go out to dinner and come back later when they had finished whatever they were doing. I insisted that they come to let us in, which they did, reluctantly 10min later.
The interaction made the stay of just one night a bad experience, to their credit they tried to be extra nice and rrepair the relationhip, however, this seemed insincere and was too late.
Accommodation itself was ok, it fit in with the area and some may enjoy that type of thing. Not if you like modern convenience though..
Lovely, cosy room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Chalet Chevron is a charming little place to stay, perfect if you like to have a nice, quiet spot but still close to the attractions. The Domain gardens are a short walk, as are the boutiques and cafes of Parnell. It is a historic building, and the room was quaint and comfortable. Excellent if you want a homely place to stay outside the busy CBD.
Wonderful stay, friendly and accommodating staff, helping with bags, to unlock room etc. It had the personal touch of home in a professional hotel stay. The view was beautiful. Thank you. Parnell was close by and places to eat were recommended by the staff. The cooked breakfast was delicious, asked exactly what you would like plus all the personal touches of continental. I would like to know how you do those perfect poached eggs. I would stay again because of the kind hospitality, thank you.

Welcoming but ...
A Lovely friendly welcome from the hosts at this b&b in Parnell. Very close to the shopping, bars and restaurants and to Auckland Cathedral. The building is an original within 'Villa land'. However, It is tired and could do with redecorating to make it more comfortable.
Great location. Close to restaurants and shops. Near motorway on/ off ramps. Down quiet street. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Cosy house. Beautiful lounge and dining area. Great breakfast with lots of choices. Parking on site, a big plus in Auckland. Firm beds. The only negative thing I could say, is the room I stayed in could very much do with an upgrade. Curtains ripped in lots of places. Decorations tatty. Could only get one channel on the TV.

Great location with a amazing bedroom views
Very comfortable stay and the owner is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and not to be missed. The bed is comfortable but the bedroom furniture might need a little updating.
Location is very close to cbd, you can even walk (around 30min)
My only suggestion is if they can install thick curtain blackouts to block the day light for people that like to sleep in.
Overall great experience and would def recommend
Ein schönes B&B. Nette Inhaber, gutes Frühstück. In der Umgebung einige Restaurants und kleine Läden. Man kann zur City und zum Hafen laufen, es fährt aber auch ein Bus.
