One of two private studios side by side, it has its own entrance and patio, giving guests a quiet and self-contained base close to the shoreline. Inside, the open-plan layout keeps everything functional and connected. A comfortable king bed sits opposite a small lounge area that opens to the covered patio, a sheltered spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. From here, greenery and glimpses of the bay remind you how close you are to the water. The kitchenette is set up for simple meals with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, plates, bowls, cutlery, and glasses, ideal for breakfast or light snacks before heading out. The bathroom is compact and practical for beach days, with everything you need and nothing overcomplicated. With Little Oneroa Beach directly across the road, guests naturally fall into an easy rhythm of swimming, wandering to the local dairy, relaxing on the patio, and strolling into Oneroa Village for meals. The Neighborhood: Aqua Sands - Studio 1 sits in the heart of Little Oneroa, a small, relaxed beachfront pocket just outside Oneroa Village. The beach is directly across the road, perfect for morning swims, sunset walks, or grabbing an ice cream from the local dairy only a few steps away. A gentle coastal stroll takes you into Oneroa Village, where cafés, restaurants, boutique shops, and galleries line the main street. It’s an easy, walkable area that keeps everything close without needing a car. Waiheke’s most loved food and wine spots are also within easy reach. Mudbrick and Cable Bay sit just over the hill, offering vineyard dining and sea views, while The Heke provides a lively brewery atmosphere with wood-fired mains and outdoor seating. This neighbourhood is all about simple, relaxed beach living, wake up, wander across the road for a swim, walk to brunch, and finish the day with wine overlooking the bay. Getting Around: Aqua Sands by Stay Waiheke sits right on the local bus route, with the stop conveniently located by Little Oneroa Dairy. Regular buses connect to Oneroa, Onetangi, and Matiatia Ferry Terminal, making it easy to explore without a car. If you’re driving, there’s parking at the property. Parking for Aqua Sands Studio 1 is up the top of a steep driveway, there is room to turn your car around at the top if you do a 3 point turn. Waiheke Island operates on rainwater tanks, and water is limited, especially during the drier months. Guests must be mindful of water use during their stay. Kitchen facilities are limited to a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, bowls, plates, cutlery, and glasses. Minimum stay requirements: 7 nights mid-December to mid-January 3 nights on long weekends 2 nights at all other times Interaction with Guests: Our team is available 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
