Unoverlooked garden, quiet and shady Artisan decorator, I had at heart to make our cottage a warm cocoon in the colors of the South. The choice of construction and decoration materials will have been dictated by a concern for respect for the environment, enhancement of traditional know-how and comfort of our guests: wooden construction, "tradition" channel tile roofing, earth floors baked, cement tiles and wooden floors, Catalan earthenware and glass paste on the walls, curtains in traditional weaving, antique furniture in leather and wood, above ground wooden pool, etc. without ignoring modern comfort: free Wi Fi, fully equipped kitchen and shower rooms, quality bedding, TV, etc. To take full advantage of Nature, a large wooden terrace and a shaded garden offer spaces for relaxation and games, with a beautiful unobstructed view of the fadarelles valley. An above ground wooden swimming pool allows you to cool off in the hot summer hours (removable access ladder for the safety of children - and their parents! ) The village of Aubais, renowned for its castle, its art galleries and its bullfighting traditions, offers all the shops and local services (including Health) necessary for a peaceful holiday, including several restaurants and a pizzeria, all 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Depart from the gîte for a varied range of signposted walks and hikes, mountain biking and cycling on trails, drailles, forest tracks, greenway (ideal for rollerblading). The village is also crossed by the Vidourle river (fishing, canoeing, swimming, via ferata). Tennis club and equestrian centers nearby. Golf courses 25 km away. Many festivals and cultural events throughout the year and in summer. Das Häuschen ist mitten in der Natur und trotzdem ist man (mit dem Auto) schnell im Zentrum grösserer Orte. Der Gastgeber Pierre und seine Frau sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Privatpool bietet im Sommer die nötige Abkühlung. Wie in einigen Bewertungen schon erwähnt wurde; die Mücken sind echt fies. Verified ### 10/10 Excellent #### Daniel S. 10 Sept 2018 #### Tolle Location, tolle Vermieter Meine Frau, meine Tochter und ich waren für zwei Wochen hier. Die Anfahrt verlief problemlos und wir wurden mit gekühltem Wasser und einem leckeren Rosewein (gibts in Sommieres - https://goo.gl/maps/fxUXrqtY1Xy) nett empfangen. Das Haus liegt total ruhig und man fühlt sich gleich willkommen. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber sehr schön. In den Betten kann man gut schlafen und die Küche erfüllt alle Wünsche! Der Pool ist für die Erfrischung zwischendurch super. Die Entfernungen zum Meer sind akzeptabel. Der nächste für uns war La Grand Motte, der schönste war in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, allerdings ist das dazugehörige Städtchen eine wahre Touristenfalle - ein Andenkenshop reiht sich an den nächsten. Und der Strand ist auch am weitesten entfernt (50 Minuten Fahrt). Aubais selber ist ein nettes Dorf mit einer leckeren Bäckerei und einem kleinen Lebensmittelladen. Vom Quartier in sieben Minuten zu erreichen. Besuche lohnen sich in Montpeiller, Sommieres, Nimes, Pont du Gard, Uzès, den Markt in Lunel (Donnerstag und Sonntag bis ca. 13.00 Uhr) - überhaupt die Märkte in der Gegend sind toll! Mückenschutz: Ein großes Thema - ab 16 Uhr wird man auf der Veranda von den netten Stechmücken in großem Stil besucht. Unsere Empfehlung lautet: Nach drinnen gehen oder eine Moskitonetz um sich herum drapieren. Eine Anschaffung lohnt sich auf jeden Fall: ein elektrischer Stichheiler (funktioniert viel besser als Cremes und man hat Ruhe.) Joggen: die Autofahrer kümmern sich nicht groß um Jogger und fahren relativ dicht an einem vorbei. Es gibt eine Fahrrad-/Fußgängerstraße zwischen Congenies und Junas, die hab ich erst am Schluss gefunden. Auf sie kommt man auch, wenn ein wenig über die Felder joggt.Ich kann den frühen Morgen empfehlen. Da gehts noch von der Temperatur und mir ist einmal sogar ein Wildschwein begegnet... Alles in allem eine wunderschöne Gegend mit tollen Gastgebern und netten Menschen. Viel Spaß! ##### Daniel S. Les arbres offrent l'ombre nécessaire pour profiter de la piscine et du jardin sans souffrir de la chaleur. L'intensité du chant des cigales nécessite un petit temps d'adaptation, mais on s'y habitue très vite ! Les propriétaires donnent volontiers des conseils sur les lieux et activités à découvrir.
