Overall this was a nice place for our family of four, along with our dog to stay. The accommodations are pretty accurate to what is shown online. Cory gave great suggestions for places to visit and things to do that our family really enjoyed. There were a few things that weren't what we were expecting, and were somewhat disappointing. The upper bunk in one of the bedrooms is very close to the ceiling, so we needed to use the futon instead. The fireplace and dishwasher didn’t work. We had a couple of days while staying where a fire would have been welcomed. There were all kinds of spiderwebs and dead bugs in the windows, which was not very pleasant to look at each day. Finally, the water, as other reviews have stated, is a yellow/orange color and it stinks bad. Our family lives in the country, so we are used to well water. We honestly thought other reviews were from people who are accustomed to city water. We couldn't drink the water. We didn’t cook with it either. We ended up purchasing bottled water for the week because we weren't sure if the water from the house would make us sick. The house would probably benefit from a water filtration system, so the water is safe to drink and use. Overall, it is a nice place to stay, just needs clean water.
