  • Lakeview & Wildlife is a peaceful lakefront cabin on Saginaw Bay in Au Gres, Michigan, with private natural shoreline access and Lake Huron views. The cabin accommodates up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms, one loft area with a queen-size bed, and 1 bathroom. At least one bedroom and the bathroom are located on the first floor. Guests enjoy a private entrance, full kitchen, comfortable living areas, Wi-Fi, parking, outdoor space, and a firepit. Wildlife sightings are possible but not guaranteed. The shoreline is marshy natural rather than sandy, while nearby public beaches offer sandy swimming access.

Natural Beauty.

Beautiful view of the natural marshy shore of Saginaw Bay. Lots of different waterfowl and birds to see. Received a visit from the neighborhood Peacock. Very clean and comfortable place to stay.

We enjoyed spending the night at this cabin. We especially enjoyed seeing the wildlife from the deck and being greeted by the neighborhood Peacock. The kitchen window and vents could use a cleaning, but it was generally clean. We liked how well stocked the bathroom was and having paper towel to use. The owners had excellent communication.

Beautiful sunset—Great stargazing

The well-kept house is in a bay-front neighborhood. With neighbors on each side, I was concerned about noise. But, it was very quiet. There are woods across the street—great fall colors. The large yard (with a nice fire ring) and a big porch overlook the bay. The sunset was gorgeous. The stars were magnificent! The hosts were communicative/helpful but not overbearing. Would stay again!

The best wildlife viewing!! I was expecting the place to be a lot cleaner and at least have hand soap and 2-ply t.p. with a clean working grill (propane tank, rusted and holes).This is only my second VRBO experience, and the other one was so well stocked with everything you might need. I would recommend bring your binoculars, games, puzzles, coloring books, spices, condiments, own grill, and soaps.

Incredible Space but Uncomfortable

We loved everything about this place. The location was gorgeous, plenty of space, not just your standard cabin inside. Amenities were fine, but there wasn't any hand soap in the entire place. However, nothing was that comfortable other than the rocking chairs. The couch is blown out and tattered, barely any support or cushion sitting down; and the bed we slept in was really worn down, we both woke up each morning with some back pain. Overall incredible place that needs a couple updates.
