Great Lake House

Great Lake house for a family get away. Kids loved playing in the sand and swimming. Loved having access right out the door to the beach without having to pack everything up and drive somewhere. House was what we needed with many sleeping options.

Amazing lake front home

This clean, modern, well stocked home was located directly on Lake Huron with a beautiful sandy beach leading into the lake. Our family spent a few days playing in the water, and our evenings were spent sitting around the fire pit while listening to the waves crash and looking up at the stars. This property could not possibly have been more relaxing for our family vacation that included two kids and a set of grandparents. There is no reason not to book this property and we are already trying to figure out when to come back!

Fun Family Get a Way

This was our 4th stay at this property and it never disappoints. The location (right on the lake) is amazing, the lake house is well maintained and the owners are wonderful to rent from!

Beautiful stay on the beach

Love the house and location of this property. The upgrades of the gas grill and glass door in the master bath were wonderful adds. Along with the upgrade in pan in the kitchen. House was clean and tidy and we could not have asked for anything more. The only recommendation to the owner is that it is time for a good power washing on the outside of the house. It is getting lots of webs and critters. I would still highly recommend. This was our second year visiting and look forward to the next. Thank you!!

Heaven on Earth

We had a wonderful time at the Beach House. The house was clean and plenty of space for all. Anything we could have needed was there. Even the beds were comfortable. The beach was clean and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend the Beach House to anyone looking for a relaxing time at the lake. I will definitely be coming back.

Amazing home

We had a great girls weekend. The house was wonderful and right on the beautiful beach. We were lucky to have great weather the whole weekend. The only downside was that there wasn’t air conditioning.

Everything we wanted

We stayed here with 2 families, we each had 1 kid, they loved playing on the beach. We brought our fishing boat, there was plenty of space to park the boat and vehicles. We caught walleye, and bass close to the cottage. It was well stocked and very user friendly. We had a great time!

Lake Huron Paradise

We were thrilled to find everything just as expected. The photos depict a perfect place for peaceful solitude and relaxation. Our favorite spot was the sunroom with a fabulous view and wonderful breeze. This house is well maintained and Jerry is great to work with. We really appreciate finding somewhere close to home and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful home, beautiful view!!

The house was nicely updated, clean and very comfortable!! We felt very much at home. There were snacks and wine on the table to greet us and the most beautiful view of the lake. The sunroom was our favorite place to hang out when it rained but, the rest of the time was spent on the beach!! We really appreciated that mom's dog was allowed. Very peaceful, quiet area. Owners were very accommodating.

Great time was had by all

Great property, our 7 year old had a great time playing on the beach and in the water. The house was very clean, I only gave it a 4 for cleanliness because there was some bloody meat packaging outside. We left some charcoal for the next renter, enjoy. Fire pit was great and wood is available for sale in the neighborhood. Thanks for letting us stay in your home, we will probably stay again.

A beautiful home in a quiet, peaceful, location. The home is immaculate and well maintained. Everything that you could want is here. The wine and chips were a lovely welcoming greeting upon arrival. The beach was so nice and the lake warm and refreshing. Our requirement for our week’s vacation is peace and quiet and this property definitely fits the bill! Excellent Summer Retreat!!

This property was an absolute delight! Charming, cozy, well decorated without feeling stuffy or overcrowded - even with 4 adults and 2 kids occupying the home. The care the owners put into the property was noticeable from the first moment we entered. Although closed up between rentals on a 95+ degree day, the air in the house smelled fresh and was cool. Once we opened up the windows and turned on the many fans, it was just the perfect temperature for our entire hot and sunny stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large with new furniture and bedding, and plenty of room for personal items both in dressers and closets. Jerry recommended we bring extra beach towels, but we didn't really need them since they provided more than enough beach and bath towels for our crew. The yard and beach were beautiful. We enjoyed hours of midday sun playing in the sugar sand and warm, shallow water - be sure to bring extra sunscreen because you'll never want to go indoors! The fire pit was used nightly for s'mores and relaxing before falling asleep to the sounds of the surf. This is hands down the best Saginaw Bay private beach house we've had the pleasure of renting in the 10+ years we've been staying in the area and we can't wait to come back again.

We reserved the property for 1 week. My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and 2 yr. old granddaughter.

The house was very nice, clean and spacious, but there is no air conditioning. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen, but no fans in the living area. On 3 of the 6 days we where there, the temperature in the house got up to over 80-85 degrees. My granddaughter had trouble sleeping because it was so hot. My husband and I slept on top of the covers on those nights. There was no breeze at all from the beach which might have helped but without any breeze the ceiling fan just blew warm air around. It was very disappointing. The owners said that it usually is not a problem, that it was unusually hot for the week we were there. The problem with that is that we were there June 10-17, I am sure it gets hotter later in the summer. If that is true the house would have been unbearable. The house was very nice, adding air conditioning would make it much better for when it is really needed. The beach was nice and real close to the house which we loved. There were a lot of rocks however. Our daughter cut her foot the one day she ventured into the water. That was disappointing. Because of the reasons above we will not rent the property again.

Best Little Beach House EVER!

We stayed here from June 17-27, 2017. The house was recently remodeled and fresh and clean. The wall-hangings, decorations, and quilted bedding looked like something out of a beach magazine. The house is listed as a two-bedroom (both bedrooms with windows facing the lake); however, it is MORE than a two-bedroom, as there is also a loft upstairs that has two twin beds and a window. Both of the actual bedrooms have doors for privacy. The house has 3 HUGE bathrooms - two with showers - and there were lots of towels, too. There is also a top-of-the-line washer/drier combo in one of the bathrooms. The kitchen is very well-stocked with an electric stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. The living room is perfect - lots of seating and a huge tv on the wall over a gorgeous fireplace. The sunroom facing the lake was my favorite place in the house - 3 walls of windows with screens. This place was above and beyond for a beach rental - wine and snacks on the table waiting for us, board games in the closet, a fire pit out by the lake, beach chairs in the boat house, etc. The house is located in a very safe area (I know this because my dad lives a couple miles down the same road). Because of that, we felt comfortable leaving our bedroom windows open at night (although we closed the sunroom up and locked the doors). And, guess what? The house is close enough to the lake, and the lake has just enough personality, that you can clearly hear the lake at night through the open bedroom window. This part of Lake Huron is in a cove. That means that the water is more shallow and calm here, making it perfect for kayaking and swimming. You have to go quite a ways out to get over your waist. The beach is golden sand with lots of sunshine. There is a wooded lot next to the house, so you have lots of privacy to wear your swimsuit. There are also birds and wild turkeys that live in the lot next door. This house does not have air conditioning. We opened windows and caught the lake breeze and were comfortable. The showers are small, so if you are a larger person, that might be a problem. Honestly though, those are the only two minor things I can think of that were not positive. Yes, this house and the beach and lake are REALLY as great as I described! We did not know the owners, but we found they were very easy to work with and responsive. Will we stay there again? You bet'cha!

Can't wait until next year!

Our annual girls weekend was made perfect with this stay! Everything about the home and the beach was amazing. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms. And all of the amenities you could ask for. We were so sad to leave after our long weekend, but we can't wait until next year.
