This is a great find of a place. It’s clean, the beds are comfy, they even have a very nice breakfast. I’ve read that some people were upset about noise in the neighborhood. I did not experience this, but May is a slow season. This is also the “nightlife” area of Athens, but again, it was safe and the location was great. I want to stay here next time I come to Athens.

During our 4 night stay at the Fountain Athens, we had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is convenient, as it is situated near a Metro Station, food court, Acropolis, and all the local attractions. This made our sightseeing and exploring of the city so much easier. Not only that, but the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Crystal and Evdokia, in particular, stood out with their warm and welcoming personalities. They were always willing to assist us with any questions we had and gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Overall, our stay at the Fountain Athens was truly unforgettable and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Athens. The music next door is a bit noisy on weekends.

Amazing location, very conveniently located close to the Monastiraki station (less than 5 minutes), Acropolis (15 minutes), Plaka (10 minutes), and lots of restaurants. It can get loud at night because of the nightlife scene, but nothing awful and earplugs are provided. Highly recommend and the staff is so kind and helpful!

I travel a lot and I had the best experience ever at this hotel. Receptionists were so welcoming, helpful and sweet. They made my room everyday. It was clean. You can walk to major places literally.

Great find in a nice area
I stayed in Athens as I participated in the marathon, this hotel is in walking distance to one of the pick up locations and close to a metro to get back from the finish. The area it is in is very Shoreditch, London. It has a lot of small bars and restaurants of which are open into the early hours. A word of warning there is a club somewhere that was open and pumping loud music well up to 4am, so if you’re a light sleeper you can use the earplugs provided. The hotel itself is great and the room very spacious and had all the amenities you need, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, good sized bathroom and huge bed. The staff were brilliant and very helpful even being able to accommodate me with a late check out. I will certainly be booking here again.

We stayed for one night. It’s on a busy, loud street but close your window and you won’t hear anything. Small elevator though. Man at front desk was very nice. Plenty of dining options within walking distance.

Street seems sketchy, but were pleasantly surprised with proximity to a lot of restaurants, bars and shops. A lot of locals drop by to hangout for a drink. The room reasonably clean, staff very helpful and friendly.

We wished we could stay more than just a night! We booked this hotel for one night stay after leaving Agistri, to fly back to Barcelona. The staff members were superb in hospitality! Check out time was at 11am but our flight didn’t leave until 9pm. The staff members kindly offered to store our luggages and use their reception area doe phone charging and bathroom usage during the waiting time. The room was very nice and comfortable! The location is close to all the tourist attractions within walking distances.

Our room was clean, comfy and cozy. Staff (Teo) more than made up (for small hotel with a very small elevator) with his excellent customer service. Breakfast was pretty nice (made to order) with good service.

Our stay at The Fountain Athens was great. The staff was so accommodating when we arrived early for check-in and allowed us to stow our bags while we toured the city. They were very responsive about the check-in process. Our room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable - room was clean. We had an earlier flight and the staff was so kind to have their chef come in early so we could grab a quick breakfast before we left. They also helped arrange transportation to the airport.

The clue was the earplugs on the bedside table. This hotel is sooooo noisy - busy popular bars/restaurants pumping out loud music until 4.30am. Only stay here if you intend to be in the bars until 4.30am otherwise you will get absolutely no sleep ! The staff were lovely but nothing they could do - be aware of where you are booking.

Crystal made our stay Bright
It was one of our best experiences ever. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is good and staff are GrEaT. Specially CRYSTAL at Reception desk.
