My house is located in the heart of Athens. The famous Monastiraki and Psyri areas are most known for their bars, restaurants, flea market and of course shopping. Enjoy your time in Athens living in a historical traditional house. Ideally located, a unique apartment in a very peaceful neighborhood in the center of Athens. It is fully furnished and equipped. This elegant apartment is 5 minutes walking from the Syntagma Square and Monastiraki where is the very popular flea market. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, fridge with freezer, cutlery, dishes and pans, toaster, nespresso. You will enjoy having your complimentary coffee during your stay. There is also laundry machine and dryer in a separate room on the top of the building. Big closets will make your stay more comfortable. Finally for those who wants to stay fit even in their vacations there is a treadmill. The whole apartment is fully air conditioned while there is also a boiler to provide you with hot water for 24/7\. Of course the beds are already made-up, with fresh ironed sheets from top quality brand. Furthermore there are clean towels for every single of you. Entire property has free Wi-Fi! Monastiraki is the closest Metro station and the bus station is 80 meters away. The apartment is very close to Greek traditional tavernas, pharmacies, banks and any kind shops. The nearest beach is 8 km away. Plenty of space inside the property to spread out (we were on an extended trip in Grrece) and this was very accommodating for all our luggage and items. North was definitely not the way to go. We did not feel safe walking in the area, even though we ended up at the National Archaeological Museum. Communication was prompt and clear and we were met in person at the property. The location is perfect for walking to the major historic sites, and metro stops are nearby for reaching other areas. The neighborhood is filled with cafes and shops, which were bustling on the weekends, but the apartment is on a small side street and was very quiet. Definitely recommended. ##### Maeta K. George, the Host was extremely accommodating at checkin and the space is lovely, spacious and quiet, despite being in a vibrant, very desirable area of the city of Athens. Everything is within walking distance but be aware that because the streets are narrow, your cab may have to drop you off a block away. 5+ stars!! ##### Robert H. We were traveling from America, and communication was very efficient. We were able to book rides to and from the airport easily. The manager and owners were so hospitable. The apartment was super clean and had everything one could need. Attractions were within 10/15 minutes walking. We walked to Monastirki square and the Acropolis, very easily. There was any type of shop or eatery within steps of the apartment. We felt very safe walking early in the morning and after dark. It’s a fun neighborhood with artistic graffiti and friendly cafes. Reminds me a bit of my home San Francisco so it also helped me make the transition toward leaving. Very walkable to The Ancient Agora, The Acropolis, Plaka and some lovely residential neighborhoods and parks. A little windey and confusing at first and my GPS wasn’t working—i just asked folks in cafes for help with directions and within a day I was navigating with ease. Just one thing: if you are noise sensitive weekend nights can be a bit loud with nearby clubs. I travel with noise canceling headphones and had no problem sleeping.
