"Great location! The Refuge Inn's rooms were individually decorated and very quaint. A pony pen was next to the hotel that our grandkids loved to visit and feed corn kernels to the ponies. Staff was friendly and made us feel like guests not customers."

"The first picture on the listing is Maui jacks which isn’t far, but it’s not at the property which is essentially the southern end of Chincoteague. With that said, even during busy Pony Penning week, traffic isn’t bad and Maui jacks is only 10 or so minutes away. Besides that no complaints with our glamping tent, our neighbors were kind of loud but that’s not a knock on the property. We will definitely be back."

"I really appreciated the pictures online. They showed the property as it really is, not much more than it is. . .Like many of them do. The property was comfortable, spacious enough for our group of six to be very comfortable, the beds were very comfortable, there was always enough hot water, the kitchen was very well stocked with all sorts of equipment that we needed for my son, who is a chef, to cook us wonderful meals. It is conveniently located to all activities that we wanted to participate in, Kathleen was always very available and very helpful when I called to ask a question. She deserves our highest rating."

"Cute, Clean, Convenient & Close to everything! These cottages are adorable! Super clean, decorated very coastal charm, on the water and walkable to just about everything! Coffee shop right around the corner, shops, dining, donuts and more all walkable - you can walk either direction and get to things in mins. And then just hop in the car and a short 10 min drive to the ocean and beach!! Very charming coastal town, not super crowded and reasonable price for the stay. The main office also was super helpful and they have a tiny shop with snacks and you can buy ice right there, which came in hand daily! We will definitely come back and enjoy another stay soon! Perfect stay! Family of 4."
