Christmas /new year at Birchhill House Ashford Wicklow
Thankyou Pete and Una. Very welcoming and excellent hosts attended to all our requests. Property is different and quaint (tin/wood. Recycled products. Like a mini grand design) from our normal home which made it a joy and a novelty and a lovely wood burning stove (logs provides) especially for this time of year . A lovely outdoor area and fire pit for marshmallows. And a bbq for our steaks which we used. And also a long table inside with lots of room for accommodating us all. Ample room for all guests and ample cutlery plates etc for our crew of 10. Everything you needed was on hand. The location and beaches /gardens and playgrounds were fantastic. Unfortunately due to lockdown we didn’t get to experience the local restaurants but they looked nice from exterior. Had lovely takeaways though. Excellent space for kids to play upstairs and adults downstairs. (Only thing would be an additional tv upstairs in one of the bedrooms or landing area to hook up a PlayStation/Xbox or dvd/hard drive to so weren’t all in the one space especially when we wanted to watch the news about all the new restrictions coming into place 😀) would love to return when a lot less restrictions in place. Brittas Bay was spectacular Thankyou again Pete and Una and best wishes for 2021. .

Family holiday
We had a wonderful time at Pete and Una’s place. Lovely welcome when we arrived with a beautiful bottle of wine from the Wicklow Wine company and some fresh bread from the local bakery. The house is wonderful and has a great atmosphere - the large table was perfect for family suppers and games nights. The weather was mixed whilst we were there but we managed to get out and about and get plenty of exercise and fresh air. Can’t rate the property highly enough and Una and Pete were perfect hosts. Thank you so much. Wonderful memories created x
