The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Beautiful site would stay again

Food was incredible. The views were beautiful. The rooms were modern, stylish and cosy. We loved sitting by the fire and the outside sauna!

We found this hotel on the off chance and so glad we did. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy.

Fantastic place to stay, close to where we needed to be. Lovely selection with a choice that caters for all tastes.

We wanted to visit the local National Trust properties, which were all very worth visiting. The scenery was lovely (Peak District), and the pub we ate at was also very good - a recommendation of the hotel staff. We only stayed for three nights this time, but will be coming back for another visit sooner rather than later, and would hope to stay again at Newton House. The bar and lounges were nicely furnished and decorated, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Amazing family farm house in a stunning location with beautiful views. Property was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything you need for a home away from home. We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum). The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving. Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. There are a number of places to eat nearby including a lovely...
