"very friendly staff here. it is very quiet on this section of the Isle, but you are close to everywhere you will want to go. the property has plenty of parking. it is a historic, older property, so the is no AC or lift. the breakfast room is really nice and a good spot to rest in the AM."

"It was a really quirky, fun and unique property, and communicating with the host was great. The bed was comfortable, but missing the top sheet. The electrical is weird; the clothes dryer kicked out frequently. Largest complaint with this rental was cleanliness, which was subpar."

"Location is beautiful, food was very good both breakfast and dinner. Weird spacing in the bathroom...could barely maneuver on the toilet as the shower is so close. The floors are old and creaky as was the bed springs mattress...very bouncy...boing boing boing. Core staff is from Sri Lanka and very much wanting to serve and please. But overall we had a lovely quiet stay. "

"The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. All the doors in the building squeak on their hinges and could benefit from some oil. Carpet in the hallway would also be good to quiet the feet going up and down the hall. There was a crack in the bathroom flooring that I thought might cut someone’s foot. There was work being done on the roof while we were there so perhaps there are other renovations being planned."

"Food was amazing. Staff was exemplary. The grounds, location and view out the window was unparalleled. But… Horrible climb to third floor with rickety stairs and zero elevator… very difficult with luggage and a baby. Spiders in room. Bathroom FLOOR was covered in what seemed like wallpaper… was wet the entire time and unsanitary. Bathroom tub plug was broken and wouldn’t drain. Housekeeping did not come to our room and we ran out of toilet paper twice in two days in the family room. Staff are overworked trying to manage both pub and formal restaurants every night. Meant long wait times to be seated and served. But the staff absolutely did their best and were fantastic. Could be a wonderful place, really needs some updates. Fish was delicious, but one was undercooked. Mom and baby in our party got sick from it."

"A wee bit of a Fawlty Towers experience when we went to their restaurant for dinner the first night. The hotel in general was good. Comfortable beds and best of all Haggis for breakfast!"
