The best area to stay in Arnis is along the waterfront, particularly around the harbour and the main street, Lange Straße.

This area is the heart of Arnis, Germany's smallest town, and offers direct access to the Schlei fjord. Lange Straße runs parallel to the water and is where you'll find most of the town's historic buildings, local shops, and eateries. The harbour area is picturesque, with boats bobbing gently and views across the water.

Couples looking for a tranquil and scenic getaway will find the waterfront area perfect. You can enjoy strolls along the promenade, dine at waterside restaurants, and simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Many accommodations offer views of the Schlei, providing a truly relaxing experience.

For solo travellers seeking a quiet retreat with easy access to nature, staying near the waterfront is also ideal. You're perfectly placed for gentle walks along the fjord or exploring the surrounding natural beauty.

The best time to visit Arnis is during the late spring and summer months, particularly from May to September, when the weather is at its most pleasant.

During these months, you'll find warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, which are ideal for enjoying outdoor activities. The average daily temperatures range from 15°C to 22°C, making it comfortable for exploring the town on foot or taking boat trips on the Schlei. This period also sees the highest frequency of local events and festivals, offering a fuller experience of Arnis's local culture.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will particularly appreciate late spring (May-June). The town is less crowded than in peak summer, allowing for more intimate experiences. You can enjoy quiet strolls along the harbour, dine at waterfront restaurants, and take boat tours without the bustling crowds. The gardens and natural surroundings are also in full bloom, adding to the scenic beauty.

Families travelling with children might find the peak summer months of July and August more suitable. The warmer weather is great for enjoying water-based activities on the Schlei, and there are often more family-friendly events and activities available.
