"We loved staying at Derek's place and we even got to meet Derek. He is a wonderful guy who genuinely cares about our well-being. The studio was very clean and spacious for our needs. It was great to have a full kitchen to prepare our meals and I appreciated the wagon to carry our belongings around to the studio entrance. Everything is very new and the bed and furniture were wonderfully comfortable. Not only did we enjoy biking on the nearby Mesabi Trail, the stargazing was fabulous too. Thanks Derek for all the work you have done to create these rentals and sharing part of your home with us."

"Just what I needed. The lake is beautiful, the cabin is close to Ely and Bearhead SP. I came up to have peace in the wilderness and that’s exactly what I got. In the evenings, if I was feeling social, I joined the other guest and host Jay around the fire. Which I found myself looking forward to each night. I will be back!"

"We really enjoyed the peaceful tranquility of the cabin and property. It’s a short walk to the lake and both the path and lake itself are lovely. We didn’t use the kayak or canoe but those are nice amenities. Safe, sturdy dock that we fished off of. Kitchen was well stocked and the bed was firm but comfy. The water is very hard so don’t expect a great lather but the sink and shower had good pressure and water nice and hot. Communication with the host is excellent. We’d stay here again!"

"It is a beautiful location and we’d rent it again. There is not a clear path to the rooms. You need to walk through sandy grass down an incline to the back of the house. Bring a wagon to make hauling your items easier. Owners were responsive and check in was seamless."
