"The place was very nice and clean, but my room was very very tiny. It would be a okay room for one person but you would not want to put two people in their. Still it was a very friendly place and Shauna who I think is the owner was very helpful. Expedia screwed up my brothers reservation and I had to find him a place at another hotel and Shauna was a big help in accommodating our needs there. I would stay at the canoe on in again if I were by myself. Although I will say Shauna told me that they had much bigger rooms in their other building across the street."

"I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Northwoods Inn. It was clean & well maintained. The people at the front desk were very friendly. The room was spacious. Everything worked well from the a/c to the mini fridge. It was clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. I just wish there was an elevator, as I was on the 2nd floor. The parking lot had plenty of spaces. The location was convenient to the grocery store across the street. Northwoods is just a short drive to Ely’s restaurants. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Northwoods Inn."

"The location was great, the price was affordable, and for being an older motel, it was well-maintained and clean with amenities such as a refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The window boxes filled with beautiful flowers outside each room added a homey touch and showed the attention to detail of the caretakers. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Loon island was a great spot to enjoy the scenery, unwind and enjoy family time! The cabin was great. We loved getting out on the water. And the loons! I personally loved listening to them calling. Bald eagles flying over added to the experience. The rustic aspect of this rental was a change from the norm."

"We were so impressed with this listing! You can tell the owners have spent a lot of time creating a unique place for larger groups to stay! The home featured a lot of different sleeping arrangements and we loved the heated floors in the bathroom! Our kids loved the secret room and had a blast playing downstairs! The owners also leave a lot of great essentials for cooking, enjoying a delicious cup of coffee or just cooking something on the stove! We will definitely stay again!"
