"Quand nous sommes arrivés nous avons vu la dame qui nous a bien accueilli, le site est un endroit grandiose ! mais lorsque nous avons vu le terrain de la maison nous nous sommes demandés où nous atterrissions dépotoir ! vieux matelas , vieille baignoire, Veilles paires de chaussures a droite et gauche, vieux tuyaux, vieille vaisselle, branches coupées et laissees sur place , vieilles tuiles un peu n'importe où, un mur donnant chez les voisins non sécurisé avec un trou de 2 mètres et une espèce...

"The views from up at the Vila Gale Douro hotel of the surrounding hills and valley was beautiful. The pool was excellent and so nice to take in the view."

"Front desk staff was welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfasts, and breakfast staff were very good. Housekeeping was also very good. Views from the hotel were beautiful and the location is excellent. Parking was relatively easy. Hotel pool and surrounding area was very tired looking and needed umbrellas or some sort of shaded area and decor. Rooms were very dated and carpet was very worn. We booked three rooms and two of the couples commented that their beds were uncomfortable and needed to be replaced. All of us felt that it was a good place to go if you are only staying for a short time. At one time this hotel would have been stunning. With some renovations it could be a real gem again."

"This quaint, beautiful property overlooking the Douro River was breathtaking! In the 'valley of the wolf', the vantage point of the valley was amazing and beyond peaceful. The room was cozy, balcony shared but not intrusive, inclusive breakfast was delicious and the 'honor system' for drinks made you feel like home! It was a perfect stay for our all-go time tasting port. The village was charming as well."

"Perfect spot to enjoy a small village in Douro Valley. The people were so friendly, and family restaurants were amazing. This home is perfect; comfortable, spacious, clean, full amenities inside and out. The pool is small and refreshing! Hosts were easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this home!"
