The room was generally quite nice. In the bathroom, it was unfortunate that the shower did not have a glass door since the water easily splashes out onto the bathroom floor. The breakfast was wonderful! The construction in front of the hotel building was inconvenient and sometimes the entrance walk was muddy. We also rented a parking space in the hotel garage and there were not many spaces available, but too much construction supplies stored in the garage.

The hotel has beautiful location right on the water. Unfortunately it’s under construction and the workers start working at 7:30 and it’s loud. The breakfast is top notch, serving a wide variety of choices. The food is high quality and delicious. The room was spacious and looked to be recently renovated.

March trip to Arendal

Very enjoyable stay in Arendal. View from our room could not be matched most anywhere. Breakfasts were exceptional. While Arendal is a little off the beaten path a stay is worth the effort.

Currently a renovation and expansion construction is ongoing. Did not know that when I booked and could not sit outside by the fjord. Looks like it will be finished soon though. Staff and hotel is really nice apart from that, and I think best location in Arendal.

Great receptionist at night. Nice hotel. Nice breakfast. Got room 251, also ok but music noise from the street om a tuesday 0100 at night, so not so great. But, all in all probably the best hotel in arendal.

Exceptionally experience

Great location with an exceptional view of the harbour. Included breakfast was exceptional - best we’ve experienced anywhere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. While Arendahl is a little away from the more common Norwegian tourist spots, I wouldn’t hesitate to return just because of our positive experience there.
