The staff were exceptional even to the extent of posting on my daughter’s headphones which she accidentally left behind. The food was fantastic both dinner and breakfast. The highlight was the onsen which had a wonderful view over the river. Cannot recommend this enough"

Kamenoi Hotel Tazawako

Kamenoi Hotel Tazawako

10/10 Excellent
"This is an older hotel/onsen that has been bought by a Japanese chain, and they have done a great job refurbishing parts of it while keeping the general feel of an older onsen. My friend and I greatly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff very kind and helpful, the food good, and the atmosphere in general very pleasant. Everything felt reasonably priced, and we had no problems using the onsen even with tattoos. We greatly enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone else looking for some peace in the Japanese mountainside."
