"We had a great time at Rustic Retreat. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and seeing deer and a black bear. The owner was super responsive with clear instructions and gave great recommendations for local dining. We will definitely be staying here again."

"We wanted to totally get away from people for 6 days and just enjoy eachother. We work a lot and you sometimes forget to take TIME to just be. This home was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We did go to Ellijay one day and went to the Roof Restaurant & shops… other than that we stayed put! We shopped for groceries before we arrived and so we were set. Matthew has not forgotten one thing. If you need or want it he has thought of it. We truly loved the layout, beauty and uniqueness of the home. The bed was absolutely the coolest thing and a neat comfortable way to sleep. Every single thing about this house made you feel at home. Looking out the windows seeing the beautiful mountain never got old. And it’s sooooo quiet. Thank you Matthew… if you ever want to sell this home look me up. Cynthia & Faith"

"Location is exactly what we were looking for - tucked away up in the mtn! My big kids (17, 19, 22) explored the place like they were little kiddos again (creek, horseshoes, s’mores). We enjoyed the hiking trails, zip lining, eating peaches, etc for our day trips. Great place!"

"Wonderful property! The listing does not even do it justice. New build, beautifully decorated, and well maintained. The hot tub was so nice to enjoy out on the back deck while listening to the creek (which is just below the property and a steep walk down but totally accessible and fun to explore) and while cooking out on the grill. The fire pit was comfortable to sit around and easy to use, logs were included. The beds were incredibly comfortable too and the linens were high-quality. Beautiful elevated and secluded property. Excellent value for the cost."

"The cabin was cute and cozy! Perfect location for our trip to hike the beginning of The Appalachian Trail, explore Dahlonega, and hit all of our favorite spots in all of the surrounding beautiful towns in North Georgia!! I will definitely try to book this same cabin next time!!!"
Expansive Mtn-View Ellijay Cabin: Private Hot Tub

"We had a party of 15 multi-generational family members and there was so much space. Our kids loved the swings and the hot tub and we had a wonderful night around the fire place (wood was generously provided). The house is fully stocked with EVERYTHING! I have a very picky mother who insisted on bringing her own set of dishes and pots and she was so pleasantly supplied with how well stocked this house was. Jesse was so incredibly responsive, we would highly recommend this stay. We are planning for another trip at this exact location, it was wonderful."
