Excellent property - great service and staff.

I booked 2 - bedroom for my family of 9 adults & 3 children. When checking in I was charged an additional fee because one of the child 13, which is considered as an adult. The Villa was relatively clean, until i found a cockroach in my master bedroom. It was alive and well, we managed to get it out of the room. Much to my dismay, when i woke up the next morning there was another dead cockroach on the floor, just a few feet away from my luggage. We also saw a dead cockroach floating in the pool! I now need to get my clothes properly cleansed / dry clean when I get home. Also get my luggage’s properly sterilize to make sure it’s not carrying any cockroach eggs! It took 2 hours for someone to come, their solution was to remove the cockroach. No other alternatives were provided. Besides the cockroach, when we were relaxing in our Villa private pool, stray cats would enter our house or sit on the outdoor furniture! They were skinny, and starving! Of course my kids wants to feed them, and try to pet them! Doing what kids will do! Luckily the cats were relatively nice, but if they were feral or disease ridden and had scratched / bitten the children then who would be responsible? We also experienced periodical power outages during our stay! The water toys which were readily available for rent were scarce, the staff were generally helpful, but they all appears to be not properly trained for their duties. Helpful but not knowledgeable.

La chambre avec vue sur mer était extraordinaire, les plages magnifiques. L’hôtel est un tout-compris avec buffet. Une grosse partie de la clientèle provient de Russie. Si vous n’avez pas payé pour un tout-compris, et êtes un pauvre petit Québécois, vous sentirez étranger en ces lieux. Les activités sont bilingues, vietnamiens et russes. Je me suis fait plusieurs fois apostropher, car ne portant pas le bracelet, je devais prouver mon appartenance au lieu. Le menu à la carte auquel j’avais droit était pauvre sur le plan des choix. Le personnel ne parlant pas ou très peu anglais n’était pas très coopératif. Donc, pour un voyageur solo comme moi, ce lieu est à éviter!

The Grand Hotel du LAC Saigon is an exquisite boutique style hotel that treats guests like family. The staff here are amazing. I have never experienced such attentiveness from other hotels. The location is central to many landmark tourist must see.

I am disabled and am dependent on the use of 2 crutches. The room they put me in did not have easy accessibility to the swimming pool. I could not climb the stairs to access the pool and it was really far and difficult for me to access the old building to reach the pool so I could not fully enjoy my stay. Also, the street noise was something to contend with. The other thing I did not like were the prostitutes at the Legends Sports Bar across the street. I TRAVELED WITH MY young kids so this was awkward to explain. Other than that, it was enjoyable.
