I ended up having to park in a random paid lot a couple blocks away from the hotel. When you take the escalator up to the lobby it appears that the hotel is pretty nice. On check in the gentleman asked if I had a car and to put down my plate to pay. He then showed me a map of where to park, it was already too late for that. Once you take the elevator to the floors with the rooms it looks pretty aged and could use some updates. The room was on the smaller side and was clean. The bed was very firm with a single small and extremely flat pillow. Would I stay here again? It's a three-minute walk from another station of another line. It's in a very good location for sightseeing in this town. This hotel is relatively old. Hotel itself is pretty basic - small room but it is ok to crash for a night or two. The carpeting in the rooms needs changing - looks pretty bad. Breakfast is also pretty basic but for an extra $7 its ok. At least one person on the front desk staff can speak English and they are all polite and helpful. wifi signal was strong in my room so no complaints there. Local area is all commercial with many shops and restaurants. Hirosaki castle and park are about 15 min walk and are worth seeing.
