The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean, spacious and comfortable room with a great shower, although due to the floor design flooding the bathroom was unavoidable. Complimentary access to the tennis courts and pool which were both in great condition, and a variety of comfortable lobby areas. The restaurant and spa were reasonably priced, and the restaurant was good for dinner although the breakfast option was mediocre and a little pricey. I purposely chose this hotel because they had a gym area, where u thought I’d be able to do my own exercises, but instead you had to pay someone to train you, which is not something I need. I also stayed there because there is a pool, but once again, there was a charge to use the pool. We were there for a wedding and were told that our room would be more expensive one morning after having my brother and sister in law over the night before the wedding. We weren’t loud, didn’t cause a scene. They said they the room cost would go up. I knew why this was, because when they see foreigners they see $$, yet my husband is from there and I lived in Madagascar for 4 years. The stay was very enjoyable and the only concerns were that the internet was a lot slower than back in the US and the shower did not have a curtain which allowed the bathroom floor to get wet. It is a high-end luxury hotel with amazingly low prices. The entrance has a beautiful grand stairway, the English speaking staff are super courteous and they welcomed us with a lovely fresh squeezed fruit juice. Everything was beautifully appointed. It looks like they’re working on a swimming pool in the back which will make it even more appealing when it’s completed. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Although the picture looks like the hotel is on the outskirts of Antsirabe, it’s downtown and within walking distance of the sights. Finally, we left something in the hotel room and they bent over backwards to get it back to us.
