This hotel has Old World charm in its furnishings but is updated where it matters. The bathroom has a heated towel rack and a rain showerhead; the mattress and pillows are just right in firmness/softness and the quality of bedlinens was excellent. It couldn’t be better located; it is within walking distance of all the major sites of Gubbio. There is a public elevator minutes away that takes you up/down a few levels if you are too tired or are unable to traverse the numerous hilly alleys and streets on foot. The hotel staff were attentive and helpful. It is situated in a major piazza and has been used in a number of TV and movie films!

Se cercate un resort raffinato, elegante, con staff educato e disponibile, immerso nel verde e che offre relax e ottimo cibo, il resort Valle di Assisi è ciò che fa per voi. Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti nella camera deluxe. La cura nei dettagli è ciò che distingue il resort. Camera finemente sistemata, pulizia e ordine ovunque, ciò che viene fornito nei bagni ed di ottima qualità. Il punto di forza del resort è sicuramente la spa, non sembra nemmeno di essere in un resort vista la grandezza. Io e la mia ragazza ci siamo rilassati talmente tanto da aver riposato durante il percorso. Parliamo della colazione, un buffet che tutt’ora rimpiangiamo, frutta, yogurt, ottime torte e crostate, colazione salata., centrifughe ecc.. tutto gestito dal personale in maniera impeccabile e soprattutto garbato. Speriamo di tornare nuovamente, consiglio a tutti coloro che cercano del relax di soggiornare, non ve ne pentirete Nota di merito ai campi di golf padel e tennis, a disposizione degli ospiti. Ci siamo divertiti tantissimo. Ps per il titolare: l’unico neo durante il soggiorno è stato il suo “richiamo “ al personale durante la colazione in merito a futili motivi. Scrivo qui per ricordarle che ha uno staff molto umano, attento e disponibile, qualora avesse da far loro un appunto lo faccia con più umanità e in un luogo opportuno! Per il resto che dire, attendiamo con ansia la prossima estate!

Strange service interaction at breakfast. Apparently I did not sit at the "designated" table for my room. There were number cards on some of the tables but I did not see at first. I can't imagine why this is even neccessary. I travel for business 3 months a year and have never seen such a system for hotel breakfast. This was a very big empty dining room with many tables and few guests. When one of the employees saw that I apparently did not sit at the very specific table, she made me pick up my food after I began eating and walk all the way across the room, maybe 25 meters to another table. What kind of service is this? Was that neccessary? Is it how you properly treat a guest? I'll remind you that the giant room was nearly empty from the time I arrived and left. She did this in a cold manner. Throughout the rest of the 20 minutes that I sat at the "correct" table, never saw another employee to ask for coffee. This is not anywhere near the level of service I would expect from a 4 star hotel and for this price. Will be certain to avoid this hotel when I return.

This is a tremendous hotel. It compares favorably with the Gray, which is my favorite hotel in Milan.
