I really wanted to give this hotel 5-stars but a few things fell short towards the end of my visit so I'm opting for 3 instead.
For the positives: the hotel is well-located in Antigua, the prices are reasonable, the showers are hot and clean, the hotel looks really pretty and the beds are comfortable. In the dorm I stayed at, there was outlets around all of the beds, which is really convenient. I also liked that there was a female dorm, which is sometimes hard to find in hostels in Guatemala. Internet seems to be relatively fast. I was able to download a few Netflix episodes.
However, there's a few things I didn't like. First, customers are allowed to smoke in the restaurant/bar area, which is really disgusting and unpleasant. Second, I booked a shuttle ticket at this hotel for Livingston in Guatemala. What they sold me was not a direct shuttle at all - it was a shuttle to a bus station in Guatemala City, where they gave me a ticket for a LiteGua bus to... Rio Dulce. Not Livingston. So it was really annoying because once in Rio Dulce, I had to pay an extra 150Q (about 30$) for the last leg to Livingston. It was also annoying because it was not a shuttle at all, it was just a shuttle to a bus station where I had to wait an hour to get on a bus. If I would have known, I would have simply gone to Guatemala City by myself and booked the bus myself.
