Located approximately 500 meters above the level of the sea, Anogyra provides the benefits of a cooler "mountain like" climate, free of humidity, but at the same time is located only 10 minutes drive away from the "Blue Flag" beaches of Pissouri and Avdimou.

Anogyra is positioned halfway between Limassol and Paphos, just 10 minutes from Aphrodite Hills (golf, spa and hotel) and other prestigious golf courses.

The village is also 25 minutes away from Paphos Airport, 30 minutes away from the Limassol and Paphos Public Hospitals and a large reputable private English Clinic. The village is close to all amenities and has traditional tavernas, supermarkets, butcher shop, carob factory, winery, olive press and museum.

Anogyra is one of the only 8 Heritage villages in Cyprus as it has managed through time to keeps its original architecture.

Anogyra is also rich in History. As its timeline begins from the Neolithic Era of 8200 BC continuing to the Hellenistic and Roman relics of 325 BC where significant archaeological gleanings were discovered.

Strong evidence of the History of the village is justified by the ruins of the Holly Cross Monastery that appears at the right side of the street just before you enter the village. The Monastery of the Holy Cross is found in the venue of a post-Roman, early Byzantine settlement, which hasn't been archaeologically researched.

The archaeological research that began -and will continue more intensively in the future -will surely bring to light new evidence regarding this note-worthy monasterial complex and will become one of the most important archaeological sites of Cyprus.

In Anogyra various traditional festivals such as the Pasteli festival, are organised every year and many other charity bike and walk runs.

A beautiful villa in a beautiful part of the world
I would have given a 5 star overall rating if it had not been for a few problems we had during our stay. However Charles came and sorted them straight away with minimal disruption. Charles is an excellent host and gave us lots of great advice and also helped out when we needed a doctor. The villa could do with a bit of maintenance to bring it back to perfection but to be honest this was mostly in areas that we never used. I would absolutely recommend this villa as not only is the village a beautiful place but the locals are friendly and helpful with genuine interest in making sure you are having the best time.

A relaxed rural holiday - Definitely recommended!
If you are looking for a relaxed rural holiday, Anogyra is the right place. A quiet and peaceful village in a beautiful countryside. The villa is located 10 mins walk from the village center, surrounded by fields and with beautiful scenery. The 4 bed rooms are nice and very comfortable. The kitchen is large and well equipped. Also the area of the dining and the living room. The pool and the area of the pool is great. Very clean and welcoming to sit outside. It seems that the owners thought on all the details when they accessorize the house. The bathrooms are a bit small, more lights and accessories can assist here. Charles, the owner is very warm and pleasant person. Taking care of all the needs and give you the feeling that you are one of his family members. We liked the area. We liked the villa. We liked the warm welcome and the hospitality of the owner. Definitely recommended!
