Welcome to The Salty Beach Cottage, a comfortable and inviting family vacation home. Decorated with a refreshing palette of crisp whites, refreshing greens and ocean blues, this island-styled home has the power to enchant the eye and soothe the soul. The Salty Beach Cottage is brimming with an eclectic mix of art from full-color vintage Florida travel advertisements to original artwork. The large mirrors are covered with shells that the owners children found on our own beaches. Try shelling for yourself as just a short walk away are some of the very best Gulf Coast beaches. Upon your return from the beach, take a dip in your own heated pool. Sleeping arrangements include a king sized bed in the master, a queen sized bed in the guest room and children's bedroom with 2 sets of twin-over-full bunk beds. There are two full bathrooms which include a stand up shower en suite in the master and a tub/shower combo in guest bath. Additionally there is an outdoor shower by the pool. Entertainment includes flat screen televisions in the master, bunk room and great room. A plethora of board games, puzzles and outdoor games are at your disposal providing plenty of ways to reconnect. The property is exactly where you want to be, walking distance to the beach and a canal out back to fish from. Also, they have just about every amenity you can imagine, rods for fishing, bait buckets, a beach cooler on wheels (now that we left ours) floats for the pools and beach, towels, and every kitchen tool and utensil you can imagine. The beds were comfortable and all of the linens needed were there. However, the house is in need of some updating. The bathrooms are a little rough with tile and grout repairs needed and the water pressure is lacking. That being said, we would gladly return without hesitation. ##### Wayne R. The beach was a short five minute walk away. Closest beach access is a bit more isolated than other areas just north or south. Bean point (sunsets), rod and reel (rent fishing poles) and pine street (restaurants and shopping) Are all about a 20 minute walk away. The pool outback was relaxing and especially with the view of the bay in the backyard. The pool temperature was perfect our entire stay. The house has kayaks that we used to explore the bay. I was most impressed with how well stocked this house was with beach accessories like a couple of umbrellas a couple of chairs, beach toys for Kids, pool, toys, board games, puzzles, etc. The kitchen was also fully stocked with everything that you need to cook or grill at home. The rental company managing the house was able to help us with a few things, including renting a travel crib since we couldn’t seem to find it when we arrived. They were fast and kind. My only complaint about the house would be that the beds were a bit uncomfortable, the outside shower was broken (we just used the hose) the master shower grout was a bit gross. Other than that, the house was very clean and we had a wonderful time. definitely recommend. ##### Caitlin H. This property was not accurately represented on vrbo. It was NOT CLEAN and many things were broken. We spent the first day cleaning.
