Great Location, but this cottage needs some love
Location was fantastic, walking distance to beach, shopping, and restaurants, but this cottage needs some love. For lack of better words, it’s rundown. As much as my family and I liked the location, not sure I’d stay here again for the price.

Great place, needs a few things
Very cute cottage a half block from beach. Nice back deck with table and chairs, but needed washing. Tight fit for one car in driveway, two would be difficult. No dish soap, only provided dishwasher pods but no dishwasher. No filters for coffee maker. Street and bar noisy, but didn’t really bother us. Code for front door didn’t work, but called manager who told me where keys were. Overall we enjoyed it.

This includes cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products. Once these supplies run out it is the responsibility of our guests to provide any additional supplies throughout the remainder of their stay. On the other hand, while the kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and utensils needed to prepare meals, food and other pantry items like coffee and tea are not typically stocked in the home. We encourage guests to plan ahead if they anticipate needing additional items during their stay. Our local operations manager strives to provide every one of our guests with the best vacation possible and we hope to have another chance to host you for a truly carefree stay in the future.

Anna Maria Cottage
The checki-in process was terrible. Entry code didn’t work and the person answering 800 number was not helpful. Wi-Fi code didn’t work either. Local office on the island was helpful. Had to fix the master shower ourselves. Location was great for beach access but the noise from the traffic on Gulf Dr was bad.

Great location, cottage needs some work
This cottage is in a great location, we walked everywhere and didn’t need a golf cart and it’s a short walk to the beach. However, because it’s on the corner it is loud. You can hear absolutely everything outside which made it a bit hard to fall asleep most nights. We had trouble getting into the cottage, the key pad never worked but thankfully we were able to use the keys. The master bathroom needs attention, there was no hot water in the shower and the toilet felt like it was going to break at any moment. Thankfully it was just two of us, I don’t think it would have worked with any additional people. The overall cottage could use some work and updating as we didn’t find it very comfortable but we didn’t spend much of our time there anyway. Overall, the great location outweighed most of the cons.

Best Beachside getaway
Dog friendly, fenced. 80+ year old could walk to the beach. Pub crawl and shopping a easy walk to . Massive sugar sand beach . Worth the drive to Detweilers Amish farm Market king size shrimp 10$ a pound and samples throughout.

Great location!
Location was great! We could walk to most everything and didn’t use golf cart as much as usual. 4 people is tight. We didn’t stay in much so it worked for us, but it is definitely “cozy.” The master bath was terrible. No hot water and the toilet was difficult to flush. We enjoyed our stay very much. It’s a cute place even if dated. The location was outstanding

Small cottage in poor condition
We booked the Seashell cottage primarily for its proximity to the beach since it is only one block from the sand and that was a feasible walk for my elderly parents. The cottage is very small so 5 adults were on top of each other with little privacy. We were not impressed by the lack of cleanliness of the dishes and silverware. There was missing a set of sheets and pillows for the sofa bed and the internet service was inoperable. All usable shelving was filled up with kitschy decorations and the screen on the kitchen door was broken. Being on a busy street meant that there was loud traffic and emergency vehicles noise. This cottage is convenient for beach access but I would not recommend it based on the small size and apparent lack of upkeep.

Wouldn’t go again to the cottage or island…
Firstly, the area of the island is very strict. There are extreme noise ordinances; no noise after 10am at all, no music sounding from cars, golf carts, bluetooth speakers, etc EVER. No dogs, music or alcohol of any sort and all are worth major fines of $500 each. Zero tolerance policies. The place was totally bizarre. Only beer and wine were served in the immediate restaurants and bars except one. The bars close around 9:30pm even the sports bars… too bad if the game is still on. I would never visit this restrictively bizarre place again. The cottage was okay. Very dark and gloomy, no deadbolt locks on any of the doors, the furniture is in very well worn condition, no dishwasher and a plethora of dirty dishes in the cabinets, and very hard mattresses and pillows. No comforts of home here. It was decently clean though. We left a day and a half early…

Great location and comfort!
We arrived to find the property clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room for the three adults and two large pups. In-house washer and dryer was a huge bonus! The only issue was parking- the spot provided was no where near big enough to park anything other than a small compact car. We had to park on the street and got a ticket at one time. Make sure to read the parking signs! Lol Great stay- would definitely stay here again!

Everything about this little cottage was perfect for our stay. The house was clean and had all of the amenities that we needed for our vacation. My only complaint was the pillows provided in both bedrooms. They were very flat and obviously used. I know when you stay in a rental property, you are not going to change out the pillows after every visitor, but these were pretty bad. Other than that, everything was perfect.

I liked that it was close to the beach. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. The kitchen was missing salt & pepper. The knives were dull. There was one small frying pan. Probably need to invest in a few items in the kitchen.

Adorable beach cottage , needs deep cleaning
Pros -great location on the island -about 6 or 7 houses from the beach - dead end street -super cute1920’s old Florida feel beach house -lots of beach stuff (towels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, cooler) -private fenced in backyard -washer/dryer -TV in each room -lots of fans, ceiling and box (the central air works great I just have to sleep with a fan on me) -the shower outside was perfect after a sandy day at the beach, has hot and cold water Cons-the biggest one is cleanliness, this place needs a deep cleaning. We got there after being stuck in a car for hours, I go into one of the bedrooms and go to lay on the bed to see the bedspread has multiple dirt/mystery stains on them. I pulled everything off the bed immediately and put in the washer, then taking pillow cases off found 4 of the pillows were stained and dirty, 1 had dried blood all over the corner like someone had a bloody nose, the others were just looked like years of stains, what kind of housekeeping sees that and puts a case over it? I went out a bought new pillows for my family. There were a pile of folded blankets in the closet so I grabbed one for the bed, I can’t explain the smell of that one, grabbed another and it had black dirt marks on it, literally none of the 4 or 5 blankets were clean in there. Now I’m thinking what else isn’t clean? Needless to say I washed ALL linen on all three beds, (just what I wanted to do on my vacation). Finally get to lay down only to look up at the vent on the ceiling and it’s slots are black with dirt and who knows, from not being cleaned in year. We decided to go sit on the back patio to take a break and have to clean that as well, all the chairs and table top were covered in random things that fall from the trees, and someone’s old hair conditioning packets. Then as we are trying to relax we all started getting bit up , sure wasn’t mosquitoes, we really couldn’t see anything they were so small but man it hurt, so we definitely didn’t sit there anymore the rest of the stay. A previous review complained about fleas but the host responded the had pest removal come out, maybe they did not come out? Furniture is dated and a little dirty, after the bedding I didn’t feel comfortable sitting on it. Have a professional come out and steam clean it or just replace it. All the door jams are grimy from handprints, by every single door. This house would be perfect if they just did deep cleaning and kept it up.

Sea Shell Cottage
Older cottage, but very cute - had everything we needed for 5 nights. The fenced backyard was great for our 2 small pups. Important note: Dogs are not allowed on the beach - ever! Walkability to restaurants and shops was great and everyone we met was so friendly. The beach is a 2 minute walk, don't have to cross any streets, great shelling and we enjoyed the most gorgeous sunsets every afternoon.

Quick family trip
We enjoyed our stay in this beach cottage. Our extended family stayed at another property so we really only slept here. The beds were very comfortable, and the cottage was clean. It was equipped with all that we needed and was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. Our family of four would stay again. Thank you!

Nice Cottage!
Clean, well-appointed, charming cottage on AMI - minutes from the beach and restaurants. Fenced outside area in back was ideal for our two dogs. The cottage is near the street, so if you are a light sleeper, bring an extra fan for white noise (there are two at the cottage). Overall, very pleased with our stay and definitely recommend!

This is a very cute house with great access to beach. Highly recommend.
Floor plan is excellent. Shrubbery outdoors should be better taken care of. Inside was very clean. Outdoors less so. Couch is a bit worn. Despite these minor shortcomings, we had a great stay. Would rent again.

Great beach staycation!
Great four days at the Sea Shell Cottage with my 2 college age boys. The space is quaint but well appointed and had all the basic necessities but they could update the appliances and TV (coffee maker, toaster and TV in bedroom was small) they also didn’t have coffee filters but luckily I brought some from home. The location was AWESOME down the block from an amazing beach and walking distance to Pine Street and close to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would rent here again. It’s great for families and had a nice back deck with a table and grill and the shed had chairs and floats to use which was nice. The cottage also had beach towels provided in addition to bath towels a real plus. This cottage was clean and beds were comfortable... a very relaxing and enjoyable stay...

Cozy little cottage
This little cottage is clean, cozy and it has everything you need. It is just a few steps away to the private sandy beach, secluded and away from the crowd. It has a shower in the back patio that helps with rinsing up after a fun day at the beach. All you need to bring is your suitcase and toothbrushes. Highly recommended.

Great location
This is a small, cute house perfect for a family of 4. It is close to various shops and restaurants. Being steps to the beach made it easy to transport items or go down to watch the sunset. The beach was surprisingly crowded during the week, so not as private as you may think.

Perfect little cottage in the heart of paradise!!
My husband and I travelled to AMI with my daughter, who is pregnant and her husband. They have all been working throughout COVID and they all needed a break! This little cottage was perfect, just a quick walk to a beautiful beach and restaurants nearby to pick up food when we did not feel like cooking. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable and the issue we ran into was fixed the next day! (Just an old blender that did not work. Amazon delivered a new one the next day- I just wanted to let them know it was not working upon our arrival). Talk about gold star service!! Can't wait to go back!!

Close to Beach & Everything
Property is managed by large Prop Man Co. This has pros and cons. Bare essentials, lacks personal touches or extras (like salt and pepper or ice in ice trays). However, early Checkin and late checkout avail (for a fee), and an instant discount was applied for early morning construction noise (major building site across the st). Beware! Parking is confusing and we received a parking ticket for facing the wrong direction on the street (we checked in late and didn’t see the signs 1/2 way down the block). There is an area to the side of house but it is very narrow and has a gate in front. AC works great and the outdoor shower is wonderful. Kitchen was thoughtfully supplied. Furniture has seen better days. This place could be perfect with some upgrades.

True beach cottage stay. Tight quarters, but close to the beach and shops. Had mostly everything you could ask for, except steak knives.
