"As described and good communication from Elaine. Kitchen well equipped and nice touch with essentials on arrival. Rear aspect is perfect walking on to decking before the lawn and also fully enclosed.Great location with a very short walk to gorgeous beach,shops and pubs/restaurants. Great use of space making it a very sociable property if going with friends/large group. Good entertainment equipment eg. ALEXA,quality bluetooth speaker and TV. Couple of reasons why I haven’t scored a 5.Pretty uncomfortable bunk bed(which we only used one night as couldn't sleep).If you decide to use the "put me up' bed,be aware that there are no curtains or blinds on either the doors or skylights meaning would be difficult to sleep after sunrise.Lastly,and this is certainly no fault of the owner but one of the neighbours clearly has an issue with dogs. In fact shouted over the fence to 'shut up' when our dog barked at next door neighbours dog. Isn't that what dogs do?? I would certainly be annoyed at a constantly yapping dog,but really,we were out most of the day and our dog is certainly not a yappy dog.Yes,the property is dog friendly and the set up is just right,just need the rude neighbour to relocate!!"

"Rooms are tastefully decorated with beautiful on suite bathroom. Staff very good and breakfast freshly cooked and not from a hot plate. Plenty of takeaways nearby but we are in and it was excellent. Only thing I could say against the Valley was nobody on reception. Road noise was also loud but didn’t really bother us too much. All in all an excellent stay and will be using again as a stop over before catching the ferry to Dublin. Well done The Valley and staff."

"Disappointing Service and Technical Issues We had a frustrating experience during our recent stay. Upon arrival, we discovered that none of the power outlets in our room were functioning. This meant we were unable to charge our devices, use the lamps, or even make a cup of tea or coffee. We arrived around 9:30 PM, and while we understood that reception was closed for the night, we attempted to call the provided emergency contact number several times. Unfortunately, no one answered. The following morning, we explained the situation to a member of the cleaning staff. She was incredibly apologetic and kind; she even took our kettle to the main hotel building to boil it for us so we could have a hot drink, which we truly appreciated. However, our experience with management was less than satisfactory. We encountered the manager, and despite it being obvious that he was aware of the electrical issues, he offered no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. It was clear that this was a pre-existing problem, as we noticed other guests had extension cables running from their bedrooms to external power sources. While the room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable, the property feels dated and is in need of some TLC. If management had simply acknowledged the issue and communicated with us, we would have been far more understanding. Given the price and the lack of professional service, I believe there are better accommodation options in the area."

"We arrived to a lovely property but no kindling & no firelighters so no way of making a fire but customer services told us where to get some from, also the log burner was not cleaned out, the fence post was broken and swaying in the wind and the hot tub did not look very clean so we did not use it and it also felt unsafe in the garden with the broken fence which broke even more with storm david. The bed was very comfy, the bedroom needs a small wardrobe, the cooker hood has one light bulb broken and the knobs were very loose and unsecure for the hob we did not use the dishwasher as that was unsafe as its not fixed to the kitchen cupboard. the property needs a lot of TLC for you to charge the price you do."

"Really lovely! There were 5 adults and our Labrador. What we really liked was the layout of the accommodation and a secure garden for the dog. 5 mins easy walk to the beach.There is plenty of utensils and cookware etc and we dined at home no problem. We got a home delivery from Sainsbury's so that made life a lot easier and there's a small shop about 5 minutes walk away where you can get any forgotten bits and where we bought logs and enjoyed the log burner. Just for info there is no tea, coffee, bin bags, washing up liquid, shampoo, bodywash or hairdryer. Dishwasher tabs enough for your stay are provided. Great comms with the owner. Really enjoyed our stay."
