Ancienne prison de Guingamp

There were no elevators and the staircase was narrow. If you stay here, do not bring a big suitcase because the rooms are not that big and you'd have to carry them up at least 4 flights of stairs. There were no employees to help you. Two thumbs DOWN!!

The best thing about this hotel is the view. The rooms are ok (carpet a bit old, bathrooms could use remodelling) and on the small side. Pool was nice but very small and narrow and not particularly warm, so we didn’t stay in very long. The pool has a great view over the water and the views from the hotel rooms are stunning. The breakfast was quite basic with not many options and cost €35 plus fees. Overall the hotel and breakfast were not good value. The staff member who offered to give us a ride to our next hotel was very helpful. It wasn’t clear where to go to get the ferry and we did ask staff questions about the ferry routes, etc., but perhaps there was a language barrier. There’s a way to walk directly from the ferry terminal to the hotel, which we discovered ourselves on the way back! Staff didn’t offer to book any excursions for us. The price didn’t seem to match the luxury experience we expected. (My friend’s room was over $700 a night, mine was $548). Great views and the wine and cocktails are highly recommended!
