They even provided a few necessities in case we forgot some things. The house is a bit older but the bathrooms have been updated and it was plenty warm for those of us from the lower 48! Pros:-cost-location in relation to the highway and Anchorage-well stocked with toilet paper, basic toiletries, kitchen items and basic spices-comfortable master bed-big supply of extra sheets and towels-cleaning supplies like broom and vacuum weren’t locked up, like some vacation rentals do. It was nice to be able to tidy up throughout our stay. -laundry room with laundry detergent available-updated bathrooms-Host was pleasant and easy to contact-very clean in all the places that mattered- kitchen/beds/bathroomsCons:-Lingering odor of pets/smoking?, probably from previous tenants. It did dissipate throughout our stay as we opened windows. -not the best neighborhood-no blackout curtains in the bedrooms. Coming from the east coast, this was rough. It would be 3am “our” time and it would still look like daylight in the bedrooms.If you’re like us and want an affordable place to lay your head at night, close to amenities while you get out and explore, it’s perfect.
