This one room cottage has all the makings of a simple getaway: hammock, BBQ, private sand spit and fire pit. Quintessential summer, minutes from downtown of Amherstburg. Well suited to young families, girls' weekends, couples getaways, and anyone just looking for a bit of quiet. The small beach is perfect for building sandcastles with tikes, or digging your lawn chair in and watching the sunset; the large deck is a great place to pass the afternoon, BBQ-ing and watching the freighters go by, the hammock is the place to polish off your summer reading list. There is a bike lane along Front Road, for cyclists wanting to pop into town; or head to the wine route. The Cottage makes a perfect jump-off point for: exploring the EPIC wine route, city of Windsor, Boblo Island, Town of Amherstburg, Holiday Beach, Point Pelee National Park. We love the little town of Amherstburg, and this cottage is the perfect location. Watching the ships is always a favourite, but the closeness to multiple nature areas is a bonus as well. We were able to enjoy some bird watching at Point Pelee and Holiday Beach. The cottage is kept very clean, the bed is really comfy, and the kitchen was super well stocked!
