"Perfect - if it wasn't for the churchbells"
I travel on a monthly basis for work in 4/5 star hotels for the past 10 years. This hotel is, next to des Indes in The Hague, the best hotel in Holland.
The hotel is beautiful from outside and in, there is a gorgeous garden, where all parts of the hotel are laid around.
The rooms are fab. I came into my room to find a corridor, with separate toilet, a seating area with 2 chairs, a very large desk and a bathroom with split bath and shower cabin. The bed had this drape over it, just to make it even more perfect. I loved it. I stayed in the W hotel in Barcelona on opening day, super modern; great, but I preferred this.
The breakfast was equally good. The bread was still warm, the cake delicious, the salmon thick cut and large slices, the eggs and bacon tasty (breakfast is a very important meal :)).
The service is efficient; at 10pm it took them 20 seconds to check me in, same timely manner to check me out. They ask what you want to drink for breakfast but for the rest you don't have to interact. Cause everything is in the room.
All bathroom products were from Rituals. I once stayed in Norway and had a hotel supplied by Crabtree and Evelyn, but the bodylotion was better from Rituals (as well, very important :))
You had a shaving set, a comb, a toothbrush and all already supplied. Which are the 3 things I ALWAYS forget and need to ring downstairs for.
I am a babyphone mum. Every hour you hear the church bells make a fill minute song. I slept terrible.
