Very friendly and patient while we mucked through the language barrier. Make note that there was English speaking staff there, but Google Translate is a beautiful thing and we worked together to understand each other that we were super appreciative for given our Spanish skills were low. Food and drinks were great, and the hotel itself was very quiet. Felt like we had the place to ourselves sometimes. Rooms were clean and hotel was close to a center entertainment area that had entertainment every night that we were there. Wonderful experience, with really lovely staff. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I would not recommend this property nor the affiliated SelvaTours operator to other travellers. 🏨 Hotel — On Vacation Amazon What initially appeared to be a jungle escape quickly became an uncomfortable and frustrating stay. Key issues encountered: • Misleading package & food situation Our booking ($341.87 AUD, double standard room, incl. breakfast and transfers) did not make it clear that you must purchase a full-meal package or pay inflated restaurant prices once onsite. The hotel is isolated — approximately one hour from Leticia’s port — with no alternative dining options. Once you arrive, you are effectively captive. • Aggressive upselling & membership pitch Upon arrival, guests are subjected to an hour-long sales session for a USD $5,300 hotel “membership”.
