This is an elegant, old-world hotel and is beautifully maintained. The staff were very gracious and helpful. The room was large with high ceilings, an elegant bathroom and a small balcony opening out to the bay. There was a hot water kettle with packs of coffee and a mini-fridge. The rooftop bar/restaurant was a lovely spot for a drink at sunset. The waterfront area directly in front of the hotel is great for walking, and is being refinished very attractively with gray paving stones. It is a 10-12 minute walk along the waterfront to Molo Beverello port for ferries to Capri, Amalfi, etc.

Didn’t like that there was no air conditioning or even fan, although the weather was warm. Slept with window open, but the street sure is noisy all night.
Otherwise, our stay was nice and of course it’s a great neighborhood.

First impression on arrival was "disappointing". The exterior of the hotel is dull and scruffy, not what was expected. There's a reason they don't show the exterior on their website. Single rooms are basic but clean. Bathroom very good. Limited options for dinner in the hotel but quality very good. ...
