This richly planted area overlooks the Mediterranean and offers amazing landscapes and countless trekking paths. The beautiful nature beaches of El Cañuelo and Cantarrijan are just a few minutes away. The charming village of La Herradura with many shops and restaurants is at just 15 minutes. This recently refurbished villa is totally private and exclusive, with own entrance, terraces and own private pool. It offers 3 bedrooms, 2 with double and 1 with 2 single beds, one living room, a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Bedrooms are on the first floor. The house offers many amenities, free WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, fireplace, large barbecue and more. Outside the terraces and the pool area offer plenty of privacy and quietness, together with amazing views over the mountains and sea. All furniture and equipment are new or very recent. At 15km, Nerja offers countless shops, supermarkets, typical and exotic restaurants, tapas bars and all services one might wish. The Sierra de Almijara Nature Reserve offers unlimited trekking options, from a 1 hour walk to a whole day excursion. The area is known for its rich wildlife and spectacular landscapes. A drive to the springs of Rio de la Miel and Peña Escrita reveals gorgeous mountain sceneries. The area offers many activities: trekking, mountain bike, canoe, paddle surf, snorkeling, scuba diving, river trekking, horse riding, jeep excursions, tennis, golf at 20km and more. The region is very rich in culture, monuments and historical sites. The famous Caves of Nerja are at just 10km. Within a half day or a day, a number of world famous landmarks can be visited: Granada and the Alhambra, Sevilla, Córdoba, Ronda, the Sierra Nevada, Almería and Gibraltar. In short, a perfect place for a relaxing and inspiring holiday in the middle of a totally preserved natural environment. Pets: please consult in advance. Villa Adelfa is a gorgeous country house located on the hills overlooking Almuñecar, at about 5 km from the coast. This area, named Pago Cantalobo, dominates the fertile valley 'Valle Tropical', region known for having the best climate in Europe. Actually nearly all tropical plants are able to grow here, including the custard apple, an exquisite fruit unknown elsewhere on the continent. Villa Adelfa offers a vast terrace with large sunny pool and breathtaking views over the valley, the town of Almuñecar, the sea and the mountains of Sierra Nevada. The outside offers numerous open and covered relaxing areas, including a large stone barbecue with sink and a beautiful children playground at the back of the garden. Besides valuable equipment such as air conditioning and WiFi, Villa Adelfa offers overwhelming calm and privacy, all together in a wonderful environment. Like for most of the good places, the access requires a little bit of familiarity for mountain areas; however one gets this very fast! You will then fully appreciate the privilege of being far away, while actually very close to the coast and to the city of Almuñecar with its countless activities and services. Casa Adelfa is ietwat gedateerd qua inrichting, maar dat stoort absoluut niet. Antonio en Elisa zijn geweldige beheerders en zeer goed bereikbaar. Het uitzicht is werkelijk fantastisch, nog mooier dan op de foto’s! Het zwembad is heerlijk, de tafel op de veranda top. Het bed is niet breed (130/140 cm), de matras vrij stevig. De algehele uitrusting van de villa is prima. Het enige nadeel is de toegangsweg. Je rijdt door een drooggevallen rivierbedding over een ruw keienpad (1e versnelling) en ook bergop is het eerste begin ruwe keien. Als het geasfalteerde gedeelte begint volgen enkele haarspeldbochten. In de laatste bocht ga je haaks rechtsaf van een heel steile weg bergop naar heel steil bergaf. Goed kijken voor je de bocht ingaat en er op vertrouwen dat je het goed gemeten hebt… Ons advies: een automaat met hellingsondersteuning maakt de weg eenvoudig te berijden. Al met al: we hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Casa Adelfa en kunnen het van harte aanbevelen! ##### Marcel Q.
