Excellent - a warm welcome, clean & tidy accommodation, well-stocked bedroom and en-suite, superb breakfast menu, delicious breakfast. Kingsley and Bella, the Newfoundlands, were the icing on the cake. Great value. I will stay here again next time I am working in the central belt. Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The room we had was a small double and it was immaculate, clean and had everything you need . Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat . You won’t be disappointed

Excellent condition, very comfortable and entirely pleasant, efficient and friendly staff.

Was curious about Andy Murray's investment in a country hotel. But as I drove up the private road you could see why. It's a lovely secluded residence. It was a relatively quiet night I stayed at with maybe 33-50% occupancy, and I was given a nice upgrade. The fixtures and fittings were extremely high tier, mixed with antique/period pieces. Among other things I had a lovely writing desk looking out to the grounds which would no doubt be a lovely and inspirational place to pen some thoughts or a...

Absolutely beautiful suite, attentive welcoming staff. The room was spotless & very comfortable.

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

What an amazing place

From the moment we stepped inside the door, we knew we had made the right choice in choosing this hotel. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the décor is modern and cosy, and the staff are lovely. Check in was simple and straightforward. We stayed in 'Oak' which overlooks the front of the building. The king room is spacious, with a lovely en suite shower room. We were delighted to find some tasty snacks, bottled water, and tea and coffee to enjoy. The room was warm, the bed was so...

Lovely residence. Best location.

Made very welcome from owners and staff. Good food and friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic property in a lovely location, 2 minutes walk to the loch which has a really nice walking route around it. Only a minute drive to supermarket and loads of food options around for dinner / lunch etc. The breakfast included with the room was better than expected. Very pleased! Highly recommend.

Our room 220 was lovely we knew it didn’t have windows but the massive screen showing Hearts ground totally amazing. The room spacious my only gripe was the Milton brown shampoo and shower gel pumps didn’t work but I bought my own and one night we didn’t have hand towels but that’s all minor things. We had plenty of condiments and a lovely touch free crisps and jammy dodgers my fav lol. The staff 10/10 outstanding from the lovely ladies on reception to the guys in the sky restaurant. Breakfast...

An excellent small hotel in a rather grand Victorian house on the main road in Callendar. Easy walk into town. Great base for exploring the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Stunning scenery. Recommend going to Lock Katrine, it is beautiful. Loch Lomond was best on its east side, the west side is nearest Glasgow and attracts a lot of people in the summer. The nearby waterfall is worth the walk. The couple who run the hotel are friendly and helpful, and put on the best breakfast we has...

Lovely relaxing quiet Inn best food ever will definitely be back

Brilliant stay at The Tower, would highly recommend. Check in was easy and the gentleman who checked me in showed me to my room, offered to take my bags, and explained everything in detail. Very well mannered and a credit to your hotel! Room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and the kitchenette set up was a welcome surprise. It was a very comfortable room to stay in. My room had fantastic views with functional sash and case windows looking out into the countryside, and it was a generally...

Really enjoyed our stay in the Royal Hotel. The staff were great, breakfast and dinner were really good and the bar was a great place to sit and have a quiet drink
