"Historical manor house that has been converted to a boutique hotel. Some of the room's furnishings and fixtures could be updated and upgraded in quality while keeping to the historical sense. The room and common areas feel a bit basic when the actual building holds a lot of history and character. It wouldn't take much to take this hotel from good to excellent- to start: greater intentionality in selecting period appropriate art and furniture, and creating a lounge space for guests in common areas (with sofas or conversational chairs instead of breakfast tables) would improve the guest experience. Room was clean and the breakfast, though also basic, was good. Excellent location in town with the downtown walkable. Good value for money (as everything is expensive in this part of the world it seems). No amenities to speak of. Parking on site was easy."

"Stayed here while visiting Vermont, Stowe & Woodstock. It was a great base area. Hotel was great, beds were comfortable. One site dining was good. The is little to no nightlife in the town and everything does close early. But good coffee shops and the whole little town is walkable. Very cute town."

"We had a great time at Jeff’s cabin! The place was clean, cozy, and perfectly situated to see Vermont’s beautiful foliage. The hot tub was clean and easy to operate. The property provided plenty of space for our dog to run around. Jeff was easy to communicate with and provided plenty of information on his property and surrounding area. We’d certainly stay again!"
