Hotel met een waanzinnige ligging!!

Posted 17-Aug-2016
Mooi uitvalspunt voor uitstapjes en leuk zwembad! Duikcentrum is mooie extra. Het hotel van binnen is wel toe aan een opknapbeurt, maar het vriendelijke en kundige personeel maakt veel goed!

lovely setting, and plenty to do in and around the

Posted 16-Aug-2016
Pros: location and setting.
Cons: Beds a bit uncomfortable, and doors make quite a bang noise when guests are coming and going. Generally though ,great hotel and setting.
Location: great location, easy walk into town and beachfront. Plenty of restaurants and drink places.
Very nice Hotel and a great setting. Hotel run very well , staff great, and plenty of sunbeds to go round. Even though there were too many people allowed to reserve them with there towels, and not coming back for hours !!

Very nice family hotel

Posted 13-Aug-2016
Hotel exceeded our expectation. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable, but our room did get the noise from the 2 rooms that are being fitted out at the moment. Pool is 3 metres deep -- which is great for the kids. Breakfast is good. This is a beach directly below the hotel and its location makes it almost exclusive to the hotel guests.

Great location

Posted 06-Aug-2016
This hotel is dated. The bedroom comfort also not great. The positives have to include the amazing location. Close to everything, shops, bars and restaurants. The pool area is also fabulous with plenty of available sunbeds. Overall a good choice for the location.

Stay here for the view, pool and beach

Posted 27-Jul-2016
Pros: The pool and the public beach below the cliffs.
Cons: They really need to bring this up to Tivoli standards and modernize the rooms. Floral bedspreads need to be replaced and the elevators need repair.
The Tivoli Carvoeiro is a decent hotel, but it's not up to Tivoli standards. That said, the views from the ocean-facing rooms, the pool and the beach below the cliffs will leave you breathless. Inside, there's a lot that needs to be addressed. The beds are honestly the worst beds I've ever slept on. An air mattress is more comfortable. It felt like I was sleeping on a box spring, so hard that I actually checked to make sure that I wasn't sleeping on a box spring! The poolside bar and restaurant closes at 5PM during season, which makes no sense whatsoever, and you can pay with credit card for beer and food but only cash is accepted for liquor, which also makes no sense whatsoever. (You can charge to your room, of course, but we had checked out and were waiting for our train in Tunes.) It was our first visit to the Algarve and was just for one night to get a taste. The pool is beautiful, the cliffs and rocks are beautiful, the beach at the bottom is beautiful, but I will research other area hotels next time to see if they can match the beauty with a better hotel.

Excellent place for excitement and relaxation.

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Pros: This hotel is well managed with a friendly competent staff. Cleanliness is a high priority. Potential activities abound.
Cons: I prefer a la cart to the buffet offered, but so many nearby cafes make this desire irrelevant.
Location: Numerous shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Hiking, swimming, sunbathing, travel to fascinating nearby towns and much more.
After check in by friendly staff, we went to our spatious room discovering all the interesting activities available to guests. Relaxiing was at the top of our list and laying by a beautiful pool was a perfect spot for that. Hiking was nice, especially walking down the steps to the gorgeous cove carved out of the rocky cliffs by the Atlantic Ocean. Swimming in the ocean and sunning on the sandy beach offered an attractive alternative to the large fresh water pool. An interesting town with many fine places to eat and interesting shops is a short distance from the hotel. A spacious bar with a spectacular view of the pool, bay and ocean provided an ideal spot for capping off a delightful day.

the location of the Hotel is excellent.

Posted 14-Jul-2016
Pros: the views both day & night were spectacular, especially from the grotto bar deck. great outdoor pool and sunbathing area also
Cons: upgrade the rooms & access to the cove beach & make it safe.
Location: the town of Carvoeiro is within walking distance or a 5 euro cab ride away. lots to see and do, a great place to visit & the people are fantastic
The hotel location is excellent, great view of ocean, grotto & cliffs. Access to a small cove when tide is out, but good luck trying to get to it. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, meals and bar service good, but the hotel needs some upgrades. Somewhat over priced for the room I was in which was a garden view not a sea view room.

Perfect location!

Posted 11-Jul-2016
This hotel was very close to lots of shops and restaurants (about a 5 minute walk). The hotel grounds were beautiful, with a great, private beach downstairs. It's also easy walking distance to two public beaches. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room itself was a little old and rundown but clean. I can recommend eating at the hotel's restaurant as well. Excellent food and obviously very convenient.
