Super nice and relaxed atmosphere

Our stay was great! The view, the pool and the large terrace were the highlights of the house for us. Apart from that, everything was exactly as we needed it. The communication was very smooth and pleasant. We would definitely come back again!

Exactly what we needed

Casa Semaphore is an amazing villa with plenty of space for a large group. The pool is a great size and by far the largest we could find in a villa for 10. If we ever return to Portugal this will be the first place we check.

Férias VALADOS 2024

O alojamento é deveras munido de loiças, talheres e acessórios para o grelhador. Area pacata com supermercados a 2 min de distância. Piscina excelente e condições nos vários quartos e casas de banho sem nada a apontar. Deixa-se apenas uma nota para a questão da vedação do alojamento que deviria ser reforçado pois para quem tem cães acaba por promover preocupação, noutra perspectiva considerar a instalação de portões nas saídas da piscina, para garantir um perímetro seguro para vigilância de crianças e animais. Os gestores do alojamento foram excelentes.

Unpleasant nights because of noise

Several dogs in the surroundings join every night for an unpleasant choir that the noise of the road downhill cannot cover. Cleaning was below acceptable, especially in the kitchen that is beyond old and tired. House overall pleasant but architectural features totally prevent airflow when fresh outside, so be prepared to sleep in an oven. Lots of space for a large household but definitely not worth the price for Portugal standards.

A lovely property

A beautiful, spacious house with a beautiful view and on a practical note, very well equipped - kitchen, baby cot and high chair etc. Having a car is essential but we knew this before choosing the property - and there is a lot to see and do within a short drive. We had good communication with the owners before and during our stay - and great help from Tim to find the property (thanks also for accommodating our late check-in after our flight was delayed and we had problems picking up the hire car!)

Traumhafte Zeit in der Casa Sémaphore

Durch die Hanglage des Hauses gibt es sehr schöne mit Treppen verbundene Außenbereiche, die sowohl als Rückzugsort als auch für die Gemeinschaft sehr gut genutzt werden können. Der Blick ist sowohl tagsüber als auch zur Nacht atemberaubend schön. Man kann hier wunderbare Sonnenuntergänge erleben. Die Sonne erscheint bereits in den Morgenstunden auf den Außenanlagen und bleibt dann bis zum Untergang dort - ideal für die Nutzung des sehr schönen und großen Pools. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, ein Außengrill ist vorhanden. Auch im Innenbereich gibt es sowohl gemütliche Rückzugsorte als auch schöne Gemeinschaftsräume mit Blick ins Tal und in der Ferne auf den Atlantik. Die Schlafzimmer sind großzügig, es gibt zwei Master-Bedrooms mit angeschlossenem Bad. Bei den übrigen drei Schlafzimmern teilt man sich ein Duschbad mit Toilette und eine weitere Einzeltoilette. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war ausgesprochen nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Auch Check-in und Check-out sind sehr gut gelaufen. Und auch die Haushaltshilfe war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Je nachdem, wie der Wind steht, hört man die Autobahn, die nicht weit entfernt ist. Das hat uns jedoch überhaupt nicht gestört, weil die schöne Anlage des Hauses und der fantastische Blick so viel an Erholung gegeben haben, dass das für uns nicht ins Gewicht gefallen ist. Wir hatten wirklich eine fantastische Zeit und haben uns sehr willkommen, umsorgt und gleichzeitig selbständig gefühlt - will sagen, wir haben uns gut betreut aber nicht bewacht oder beobachtet gefühlt. Wir waren also rundum begeistert und können uns sehr gut vorstellen, wiederzukommen. Tausend Dank!

Einfach wunderbar

Wir waren eine gemischte Gruppe (Alter: 1 Jahr bis 60 Jahre). Das Haus gab alles her, was wir brauchten. Die große sehr gut ausgestattete Küche eignet sich hervorragend zum gemeinsamen Kochen. Der lange Tisch im Außenbereich ist super zum Essen und Sitzen für alle und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Atlantik und man sieht die schönen Sonnenuntergänge. Der tolle Pool wurde intensiv von uns genutzt und auch regelmäßig vom Personal gereinigt. Es könnte nicht besser sein, wir werden bestimmt nochmal wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an das Servicepersonal und die Eigentümerin

We recently stayed at Casa Semaphore in mid September 2019. We were excited given all of the positive reviews -- until we arrived. The setting was lovely, the view is gorgeous, and the pool was very nice - and our group of 6 adults had plenty of room. However, the house was a little run down. We're not that picky, and perhaps other reviewers less so, but we were terribly disappointed that the house didn't match the 5 star reviews. This lovely house has potential, but needs some tender loving care -- it is definitely not 5 star review in our opinion. We quickly discovered two broken kitchen cabinet doors, dirty coffee pots and kitchen appliances, a living room curtain rod that fell off when we tried to close the curtain, a broken pool umbrella, broken back deck light, and black mold and mildew in the showers, but otherwise clean. You also may get introduced to the all-night barking dog just down the hill - I'm sure he is friendly but he sure is loud -- and, lastly, you'll be greeted by an invasion of local Algarve mosquitoes -we were bitten all night long. Unfortunately it was such that we found it uninhabitable (possibly a health risk) in our opinion and left after the second night. There are no screens on the windows provided and no air conditioning. On the second night we followed the owner’s suggestion to use plug in mosquito repellent gadgets, which we purchased to manage the mosquitoes, and sprayed insecticide before retiring and they didn't work very well. Casa Semaphore has some real potential but until they do some updating, buy some new sheets and pillows, put screens in the windows, and fix all of the little broken items, we won't be visiting any time soon. Enjoy the pool and sunsets, but beware of the mosquitoes, the barking dog and the kitchen cabinets

Stunning villa; the pictures dont do it justice! Gorgeous view, well kept, just close enough to nearby towns that doesnt require a long cab/uber ride. The owner kept in touch and made us feel very welcome. Would 100% recommend.

Great view and a good location

Casa Semaphore is in a good quiet location. For those with families its roughly 30-40mins away from the waterparks, Zoomarine and Albuferia if your want to go on a boat trip. The main supermarket is 10mins up the road and pretty decent. You can't really walk anywhere but theres lots of restaurants within a 10min drive (beware not all open on a Sunday). As i mentioned its in a good quiet location slightly up the hill which gives a cool breeze in the evening and great views. It was slightly tricky to find, its a very small turning up a slightly steep road - but you get used it. The owner did provide a lot of useful location information in advance which helped us find the place. On that note communication was excellent and well in advance of the trip, with contact numbers and location information provided in advance. The property itself is spacious with all the bedrooms a decent size. The place is well kept, the kitchen well stocked (if a little tired and in need of updating). There was plenty crockery etc and a coffee machine, juicer, dishwasher washing machine all worked. The pool area and pool itself was great - clean and safe for the kids. The cleaner came every other day ?, anyway she dealt with the bins and recycling for us which was great. Overall i would certainly recommend to those with families and looking for a place to relax and use as a base to go out and see the local sites.

Noël en famille sous le soleil de l'Algarve

Nous avons passé une délicieuse semaine en Algarve dans cette belle maison. La vue est superbe car très dégagée. La maison est parfaitement équipée pour 10 personnes. Les deux salons ont permis à chacun de passer une soirée tranquille sans gêner les autres, ou au contraire d'être tous ensemble dans un même salon comme pour la veillée de Noël.Les chambres sont spacieuses, les salles de bains également.Seul petit bémol pour les vacances d'hiver, les radiateurs sont tout juste suffisants pour chauffer ces grands espaces qui communiquent tous les uns avec les autres et notamment les salles de bains ( à noter que l'électricité est chère au Portugal). La situation géographique est parfaite, à quelques kilomètres de Loulé où se trouve le marché quotidien avec ses étals de poissons, fruits et légumes et autres produits de l'Algarve. Merci à Tim pour son accueil et à la personne venue faire le ménage. Excellente semaine dans une très belle maison

Prachtig gelegen huis met mooi uitzicht

Het huis ligt op een mooi rustige plek met een fantastisch uitzicht. Zeer gastvrij ontvangen. In het huis is alles aanwezig. Goed uitgeruste keuken, mooie leefruimte, goede bedden. Het ontbrak ons aan niets. Het ligt vrij centraal. Niet ver van de supermarkt, vliegveld, strand en uitstapjes. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad.

Fantastisch verblijf prachtige lokatie 😍

Prachtige woning met alle luxe. Geweldig.!! Schoonmaakster die elke dag langs komt. Tim die je verwelkomt bij aankomst en leuke tips geeft. Kortom fantastisch verblijf. Ligt vlakbij de snelweg. Je rijdt makkelijk naar Faro of richting Albufeira. Huis staat op een heuvel ( met meerdere huizen in de buurt) waardoor je een prachtig uitzicht hebt en waar je heerlijk van de stilte kunt genieten. Een echte aanrader👍👍😍😍

Beau séjour

Nous avons passé un beau séjour . La villa est spacieuse , très bien équipée , et surtout , agréable et facile à vivre . Comme elle est perchée sur une colline , la vue au petit déjeuner , sur la lagune de Faro , est juste splendide . Rien de tel pour bien démarrer la journée . Rien que d'y penser .... Sur place il y a une multitudes d'activités à faire , qu'elles soient balnéaires , sportives , culturelles ou culinaires . Nous vous conseillons entre autres le marché couvert de Loule , et le festival de fruits de mer de Faro ou d'Ohlao . Une mention spéciale pour Tim et Natalia , qui nous ont accueilli avec gentillesse , bienveillance , et attention .ils ont été aux petits soins avec nous , cela fait plaisir . Par ailleurs , ils sont egalement de très bon conseil sur d'éventuelles activités dans les environs . Pour finir , un petit mot pour Marie Diane qui s'est montrée irréprochable durant toute la transaction . Merci pour tout .
