Family-friendly holiday home in Alford
Corbiere really is in a central position so you can enjoy the peace of the countryside and the views for miles across the fields to the back of the property. Sometimes the barn owl and weasels can be seen at dusk hunting along the field boundaries.

Corbiere has been completely refurbished ( Autumn 2018 and Easter 2019) and now offers home comforts such as a TV with Freeview and DVD, two sofas, microwave and washing machine. For guests with mobility needs please be aware that there is a step up into the shower and the drive is rather uneven.

We have (2018) improved the outside area by adding a patio, a vegetable raised bed (please use produce) and planting a flower border.

In 2022 we have sowed an annual meadow in the field next to the garden that you can access from the car parking area. Please do not let dogs into this area. You are welcome to take a cuppa and sit under the gazebo to enjoy the views across the field. Richard the farmer sometimes has cattle in the field but this year it looks as he's letting it grow for hay.

The long sandy beaches of Huttoft Bank and Anderby Creek are just a 10 minute car drive away. From there you can walk to Sutton on Sea (and even to Mablethorpe if you are feeling very energetic). There are plenty of dog friendly cafes at both seaside resorts and pubs to relax in and for refreshments. Chapel St Leonards has a pub on the beach... just turn right at the top of the access path and walk along... it's not far!

Sutton on Sea has long sandy beaches to enjoy, a promenade to stroll along and a good variety of pubs, shops and restaurants to try, from the Bacchus Hotel to fish and chips. Children love the large paddling pool sheltered from the sea breeze and there are tennis courts and Petanque to try too. We easily entertained 6 children aged 10 to 18 for 3 days here. It is a quiet resort without amusements or slot machines. The paddling pool and long sandy beach with a lifeguard during the Summer holidays are excellent for young children too. We found that hiring a beach hut was a good idea and gave us a base with a kettle/sink/4 deckchairs from which we could relax but keep an eye on the children at the same time. To hire a beach hut e mail adriansosfirst@gmail.com

Mablethorpe is a larger resort with golden sand, a children’s paddling pool with squirting water features and amusements and rides along the prom. There are donkey rides in the summer and a cinema and Seal Sanctuary if the weather is wet. Linda's cafe in Queen's park sells meals for about £4!

Chapel St Leonards is also popular with families and dog lovers. the new North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point is well worth a visit for the cafe and sea viewing area too. It is on the Round Britain Coastal Path.

Skegness is about 30 minutes drive from Corbiere and has Butlins, Fantasy Island, and a huge variety of amusements, cafes and restaurants to try!

For nature lovers, the breeding colony of grey seals at Donna Nook in November and December are a real ‘must’ and well worth trying to photograph. There are also nature reserves at Gibraltar Point (lovely cafe and raised viewing area) and Snipe Dales.

The Lincolnshire Wolds with their rolling hills are only a 25 minute drive away with the lovely market town of Louth to visit. Louth has independent shops, tea rooms and a market on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays throughout the year. Farmers Markets take place on the 4th Wednesday and 2nd Friday each month.

Corbiere is well located for a family or friends to explore this area.
Guest accommodation at this holiday home offers DVD players and coffee/tea makers. Kitchens offer fridges, hobs, microwaves and kitchenware and utensils.

Great Stay
Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Great for exploring the local area. The cottage had everything we needed with a fantastic outdoor area.

Beautifully clean with everything you could need
We spent a lovely week at this gorgeous bungalow. It was immaculate with good sized gardens and plenty of parking. Lots of lovely touches such as a welcome gift and everything you need for your stay provided. This is probably the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed at. We spent time at the local beaches plus visits to Mablethorpe and Skegness, Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary, Russell's Circus and Natureland. The Red Lion is nice, however stops serving food at 7:30 some nights and booking is advised as it was fully booked. The cottage is in a rural location and you must be prepared to travel to get anywhere as there is just the one pub and no local shops that we could find. We saw a pheasant in the garden of the bungalow and lots of beautiful birds visit constantly. The bungalow is about 20 minutes from Mablethorpe and Skegness making it an ideal base for people that want to visit these areas but be away from all if the hustle and bustle of busy seaside towns.

Lovely rural retreat
Perfect holiday accommodation, Spotlessly clean and tidy with a nice garden area to enjoy. Well placed for walking to the beach (approx. 1 hours walk) and to Chapel St Leonards (1.5 hours). Or use the car, 5 mins and 8 minutes respectively. Buses are also available to get to and from the coast towns. Nearest supermarket is co-op in Alford or Chapel St Leonards, or tesco in Mablethorpe. If eating out, book early as places fill up early. Overall, a great rural retreat, we'll be coming back. Many thanks to Sarah and her team. Neil & Alex.

Lovely bungalow in lovely surroundings
Bungalow was lovely and clean with everything you needed provided. Convenient for a number of lovely beaches which weren't crowded at all like the bigger resorts. We had an excellent meal at the Red Lion down the road and we even took the dog! The fish and chip van on Friday night was really good too. We found Mumby and all the surrounding places very people and dog friendly. The only thing missing for me was a small freezer as it was hot while we were there and an iced drink would have been nice and we could also have taken back some of Farmer Brown's delicious ice cream! So all in all a very nice place to stay. Thank you Sarah x
