It lies on the road from Pollensa to Alcudia, access is via a resident road. The side of the house and garden is fully fenced with a barrier. It is a beautiful, quiet country house with sweeping views across the countryside towards to the distant mountains of Pollensa and Formentor. The villa, is a lovely Mallorcan stone farmhouse, built-in typical Mallorcan style with terracotta floors. The pool is square 7 \* 6 m2 higher by a few steps from the ground, as an old pound construction took advantage, surrounded in part by plants and greenery and features a sunbathing area for 6 sunbeds. The house is about 200 m2 and built on a plot of 21,000 m2, around the house is a large lawn with trees and shrubs. For your privacy, the area of the house and the garden is fully fenced from the rest of the farm. This villa has a new terrace with barbecue, covered by a pergola, where you can enjoy your meals outdoors, equipped with a large table and chairs, and it communicates with a covered beamed and furnished terrace ideal to sit in the shade. The house has two floors, the front main entrance doors leads to a spacious hall in which there is a nice and typical staircase leading to first floor. On the ground floor and from the hall leads to the living room, equipped with a large wooden table, chairs and 2 large sofas, a cozy and full of personality, with access to the covered terrace on one side and the area garden on the other, where you can reach the pool. The kitchen built-in Majorcan style with beautiful tiles and borders of green and ochre that were already used in ancient times, has a gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher and refrigerator, plus the necessary utensils, microwave, coffee maker, blender etc. .. you have separate laundry area and pantry where the washing machine is, and another door which leads directly to the outdoor terrace. From the dining room also leads to the only bedroom in the ground floor, equipped with two single beds of 1.90 \* 0.90, and large closet, is the smallest of the house, the view overlooking the main entrance the house. In front there is a large bathroom with walking shower (this will be ideal for those with mobility problems), decorated with small blue tiles The staircase leads to the bedrooms on the first floor. Here is a very bright double bedroom with 3 windows with distant views of the Bay of Pollensa, and with a large wardrobe and a king size bed that, if desired, is convertible into 2 single beds. This bedroom has a safe, and it also has an en suite bathroom, decorated in a typical whitish border. To complete the upper level there is another double bedroom with two single beds of 1.90 \* 0.90 , with wardrobe and views overlooking the pool, this bedroom also has an en suite bathroom decorated with blue tiles. These two bedrooms on the upper level share a terrace as well as a loft. Views from here are on the field to the bay of Pollensa and Formentor. The villa has central heating (according to season and with a supplement), plus the 3 bedrooms have air conditioning/heating . At your disposal you have cot and high chair for children, Internet access via wifi as well as towels for the pool. Maximum capacity is 6 people. We offer you the following touristic services, by request: \- Own catering services, whether they only include breakfast, half board or full board. We offers the option of providing either in the villa, or in the restaurant .\` \- Laundry and dry cleaning services, including washing and ironing of garments, bedding, personal garments of the guest, etc. \- Periodical cleaning of the house. Air con in the bedrooms was poor and incredibly loud to get a good temp. Inside really needs updating, broken fixtures, sharp floor tiles and description at time of booking included a hot tub, which was not true. When this was raised to the owner, we were told "Why would you want a hot tub, there is a pool?" - which was a little strange response. This listing was then changed with no further communication back to us. Overall - it was OK, but for the price others in the area definitely more worthwhile. ##### Sam H. Leider gab es nur sehr viele Stechmücken, sodass wir abends nicht draußen sitzen konnten. Die Finca ist gut gelegen, fünf Minuten zum Supermarkt, zehn zum Strand, der Ausblick auf die Berge ist herrlich. Auch der Pool war sehr schön. Die Kommunikation mit Maria war sehr gut. Die Ausstattung ist ok, für Teetrinker ist leider weder Sieb noch Kanne vorhanden und für kleine Kinder 2+ könnte die Ausstattung besser sein. Das Reisebett hat leider keine richtige Matratze, sodass wir die Sofaauflagen von draußen nehmen mussten. Spiele oder Sandspielzeug gab es nicht. Ich würde die Finca eher Familien mit größeren Kindern empfehlen. Alles in allem hätten wir einen schönen Urlaub. ##### Lena S. Ein wenig Lärm ist von der Strasse und von startenden und landenden Flugzeugen zu hören. Zimmeraufteilung und Ausstattung des Hauses entsprechen im wesentlichen der Beschreibung im Internet. Die freundlichen Vermieterhaben auf unsere Bitten hin unverzüglich einen 2\. Sonnenschirm, eine neue elektrische Kaffeemaschine, einen Duschschlauch und weitere Handtücher zur Verfügung gestellt. Den Hausschlüssel findet man in einem kleinen Safe mit Code vor der Haustür und ist dadurch unabhängig von Absprachen und Anwesenheit der Vermieter bei Anreise. Mit dem Auto ist man in ca. 15 Minuten in Port Alcudia und an dem langen Strand mit feinem Sand. Hier finden sich genug Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir, 4 Personen , haben uns in der Villa sehr wohl gefühlt. Im und am Haus lebt es sich gut, auch können- für uns wichtig- zahlreiche deutsche TV-Programme( über Astra-Satellit) empfangen werden. Vor allem die Lage der Villa, aber auch der große saubere Pool sorgen für ein aus unserer Sicht gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. ##### Michael B. Die Finca ist wunderschön und wir hatten als sechsköpfige Familie eine wunderschöne Woche vor Ort. Alles ist sehr sauber und sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Wir wurden mit sehr gutem Wein, Obst und Muffins begrüßt und die Kinder freuten sich besonders an dem Pool und dem großen Garten. Der Pool ist überdurchschnittlich gross. Das Haus ist sehr gut gelegen. Die sehr schönen Strände von Playa Muros und Playa Formentor sind in circa 20 Minuten zu erreichen, ebenso die sehr schönen Orte Pollenca und Alcudia. Der Garten ist sehr sonnig. Wünschenswert wäre ein weiterer grosser Sonnenschirm beim Pool und ein Sonnenschirm bei der Aussensitzecke bzw. beim Sitzplatz. ##### Jonas W. Heerlijk huis, voldoende ruimte binnen maar vooral ook buiten was ideaal: 's ochtends in de zon ontbijten tm 's avonds bbq'en, groot grasveld met voldoende speelruimte voor de kinderen. Het zwembad ligt beschut en in de zon, waardoor we er bijna elke dag konden zwemmen (het was 21-22 graden). Koud water, maar lekker om even af te koelen. Keuken voorzien van alle benodigdheden, vriendelijke verhuurders, mooie omgeving (strand, leuke stadjes en mooie wandelingen gedaan). Top! ##### Evelien v. Extremely clean and comfortable We had a wonderful time at the villa, it was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with choices to eat inside or outside in the beautiful garden. The pool was very well maintained, and the villa's position was perfect for a peaceful retreat, yet restaurants, beaches and shops were only a short drive away. The owner, Juan, was welcoming and the bottle of wine and tea, coffee and cream were a nice surprise. We will be booking again next year! ##### Helen F. All rooms were clean and as described. As we arrived in the early hours of a Sunday we were pleased to see that Juan had left us bread, jam, milk, tea and coffee and the salt and pepper and wine was also a nice touch. He was very discreet but when the electricity failed (meaning no water either) on a Sunday afternoon, he and Maria could not do enough to help, contacting the local authority and getting it all sorted before nightfall. The villa is in a perfect situation, off the main road from Pollenca to Alcudia, so quiet (apart from the curlews) and private. Great place to be situated for either of the main towns and only 10 minute drive to the beach areas. Enjoyed visits to the main Puerto Pollenca beach and Formentor and also loved Albufeira Park where we saw ospreys, hoopoes and kingfishers amongst other birds and large fish. Great base for cycling too and the pool was a nice size but fairly deep throughout, fine for our teenagers but perhaps not for younger children. In summary this was our perfect spot for two weeks in northern Mallorca and would love to return. ##### Jeff W. Juan was very attentive and was at the end of the phone when needed and sorted problems out very quickly . Did have a problem with ants but was very little that could be done to prevent this other than keeping food off surfaces . Would definitely visit area again and would return to Vila . ##### Debbie J. Archival ### 10/10 Excellent 26 Jun 2015 #### Tranquility Villa Vertent is an absolutely delightful two storey villa, totally surrounded by fields yet totally private. It is provided with all the facilities you would want. The rooms are spacious, and with the shutters open are light and airy. The description of the property is completely accurate with every where clean and tidy. The owner and his wife go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay and are just a phone call away should you need them. Whilst the villa is in a rural setting Pollensa is a mere 7km away and the old walled town of Alcudia about 6km away providing an opportunity to stroll through their narrow streets and get a taste of the old Majorca. Both these towns have a wide selection of restaurants for dining out. A car is essential which will enable you to explore more of the island but you will soon return for the sheer delight and peacefulness of Villa Vertent. This was our second visit to Majorca but to properties owned by the same person. I cannot recommend Villa Vertent highly enough, just perfect. Der Empfang von Juan war sehr herzlich, obwohl er einige Zeit auf uns warten musste, da wir die Finca nicht gleich gefunden haben. Die Verständigung war prima, Juan spricht ganz gut deutsch. Die Finca ist herrlich gelegen zwischen Pollenca und Alcudia. Wir mögen es ruhig und bis Pollenca oder Alcudia ist es nicht weit. Unsere beiden Enkelkinder (10+12 Jahre) waren begeistert vom Pool. Da dieser nicht direkt neben der Terrasse liegt, stört es auch nicht wenn die Kids im Pool toben. Die Finca hat alles was man braucht und ist sauber und gepflegt. Archival ### 10/10 Excellent #### Claudia A. 5 Jun 2013 #### Villa auf dem Lande Vorweg nochmals herzlichen Dank an Juan, der trotz unserer späten Anreise (23.00 Uhr) geduldig auf uns gewartet und uns mit Lebensmitteln für den ersten Abend überrascht hat. Überhaupt war die Kommunikation mit Juan und die Abwicklung der Formalitäten völlig unkompliziert. Wir waren sechs Personen. Vier Erwachsene und zwei Kinder im Alter von 10 und 14 Jahren. Das Haus entsprach den Angaben im Online-Inserat in allen Punkten und übertraf damit auch unsere Erwartungen. Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Haus ist groß und geräumig und bietet dadurch auch die Möglichkeit sich zurück ziehen zu können. Die drei Badezimmer empfanden wir als sehr angenehm. Kein langes Warten am Morgen und am Abend (Luxus). Die freistehende Villa liegt zwischen Alcudia und Pollenca ca. 6km im Landesinneren in einer landwirtschaftlich genutzten Umgebung mit freiem Blick auf die Bucht von Pollenca und die Berge. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten finden man in Pollenca und direkt an der Straße zwischen Pollenca und Port de Pollenca (Lidl, Etorki). Dazu noch eine Anmerkung für Personen mit Lactose- bzw. Glutenintoleranz. In den genannten Supermärkten gibt es nur eine begrenzte Auswahl spezieller Produkte. Ein sehr großes Sortiment führt hingegen Al Campo (Schild von der Autobahn aus nicht zu übersehen) bei Palma. Restaurants für jeden Geschmack und Geldbeutel gibt es in Pollenca, Port de Pollenca und Alcudia. Wer Fahrräder mieten möchte findet Leihstationen in den genannten Orten. Wir haben Mountainbikes bei der Hürzeler Radstation im Club Pollenca gemietet, da wir aus vorangegangenen Urlauben gute Erfahrungen (Guter Zustand und gute Wartung der Räder) mit Hürzeler gemacht haben. Wir verbrachten eine rundum wunderschöne Woche in der Villa und können diese auch uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Die Villa würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen. ##### Claudia A. Archival ### 10/10 Excellent #### Chris M. 19 Jul 2012 #### Haven of Peace and Tranquility We have just returned from a very relaxing week long stay at Villa Vertent. This is a truly lovely villa. It has character, the decor is excellent, it is very comfortable and well equipped. For our arrival Juan had left bread, meat, cheese, milk, butter etc etc plus wine. A very useful and pleasant surprise. He is very friendly and speaks perfect English. The directions from the airport are very precise and easy to follow however a slightly shorter route is available by carrying on the MA13 towards Alcudia and taking a left at the next roundabout. The villa is about 1200m on the left. We spent many hours either sitting in the shade reading - the temp was 30+ most days - or in the pool. Lovely warm water and an excellent size for two adults and two teenagers to cool-off and have fun. All the bedrooms have air-con which is essential at this time of year. There are good supermarkets in both Alcuida and Port de Pollenca. For us the latter is more attractive and has a wide choice of nice restaurants plus a beautiful beach and long promenade. ##### Chris M. Archival ### 10/10 Excellent #### Hannah W. 1 May 2011 #### Wonderful Villa We had a lovely week in this holiday villa; it's in an ideal location to explore the island, and is a world away from the touristy areas in the West! The villa's location is relatively secluded as shown; it's just off the road from Pollensa to Alcudia. Both towns are within a few minutes drive and from there, the rest of the island is easy to get to. The villa is in excellent condition and there is plenty of space for a family to spread out in: 3 bedrooms (all with ensuite bathrooms), an upstairs lounge, downstairs lounge and kitchen w table, not to mention all the outdoor spaces (upstairs terrace, downstairs patio with BBQ area, pool and then the garden!). Since there were only 2 of us we were spoilt for choice! There is also a small selection of books varying from informative to holiday reads.The pool is a good size, and although the weather in March isn't as warm as it is during the summer, we did manage to use the pool once! There is space for 2 cars to park in the driveway. Juan is very friendly; he left a basket of food&wine for us on arrival and came over the next day to introduce himself. He recommended a few restaurants nearby and we ended up going back to one of them twice because we liked it so much! His driving directions from airport to villa are fab. Please note that it is Juan, not Joan as listed at the top of this property advert (we were initially expecting an English woman who had retired in Mallorca!). Both Pollensa and Alcudia are lovely towns and have plenty of restuarants. Some of our favourites were: Tribeca (Port de Pollenca), La Fonda and Il Giardino (Pollensa). Alcudia especially is a lovely place to walk around in, and there are many nice cafes in the square. We also drove to the Lighthouse at Cap de Formentor (recommended if you can handle the slightly scary drive!) and the beach at Formentor is lovely. Soller and Port de Soller are worth a day trip; there is a nice tram which connects the two. Any of the caves (e.g. Caves del Drac) are worth a visit if you haven't seen these rock formations before. Finally, Gordiola Glassworks is highly recommended for its glass workshop, museum and huge shop! I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone: its location is ideal for visiting the rest of the island, and the pool, ample loungers & outside space are perfect for sunbathing! The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking or try any of the nearby restaurants instead! Have a great holiday here! :) ##### Hannah W. ---
