Despite its central location, Casa Farol enjoys a surprisingly peaceful setting. The sound of the waves provides the natural soundtrack, while windows, terraces and balconies have been designed to make the most of the wonderful views across the beach, ocean and coastline.

From morning coffee overlooking the Atlantic to an evening drink as the light changes over the sea, the location is very much part of the Casa Farol experience.



A House with Character

From the moment you enter, it becomes clear that Casa Farol is anything but an ordinary holiday home.

The entrance passage features an illuminated underwater scene extending across the ceiling, while curved openings lead naturally into the open-plan living and dining areas.

In the living room, a bar table directly beside the window creates one of the best seats in the house – perfect for coffee, a glass of wine or simply watching the beach and ocean beyond. Comfortable contemporary furnishings and a 75-inch Smart TV provide plenty of space to relax after a day outside.

The adjoining dining area brings together antique furniture, contemporary lighting and individual decorative pieces, reflecting the mix of old and new found throughout the house.



The Heart of the House

A few steps above the dining area is the striking open-plan kitchen, designed to make cooking part of the social experience rather than something that happens behind closed doors.

It is fully equipped with modern appliances and everything needed for preparing meals at home. A stone breakfast bar provides an informal place for a snack, drink or conversation while cooking – with the Atlantic still visible through the living room beyond.

Natural light enters through an unusual glass ceiling, while beside the kitchen a dramatic staircase rises through the house. Black-and-white chequered tiles, warm chestnut-wood steps and vibrant yellow accents give this part of Casa Farol its own playful personality – with just a hint of Alice in Wonderland.

A generous guest bathroom is also located on this level and includes a combined washer and dryer.



Three Bedrooms, Each with its Own Character

On the first floor, the playful bunk bedroom features two full-size 90 × 200 cm beds with high-quality mattresses. Designed with both younger and grown-up guests in mind, it is a fun and comfortable room rather than a traditional children's bedroom.

Also on this level is the pool bedroom, with a double bed and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors opening directly onto the pool terrace.

The two bedrooms share a compact full bathroom with shower, featuring an original brass porthole and complementary fittings – another of the individual details that give the house its character.

Occupying the upper floor is the main bedroom, with its own ensuite bathroom. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open onto a generous private balcony with wonderful views across the beach, coastline and Atlantic – a very special place to begin or end the day.



Your Private Pool Terrace

At the heart of the outdoor space is Casa Farol’s private pool terrace.

Reached along a passage featuring a glass floor, the terrace sits between a rustic stone wall on one side and an impressive eight-metre-high vertical garden on the other.

The private pool and outdoor shower with warm water provide a refreshing escape on sunny days, while a large retractable awning offers shade whenever you want it.

And beyond it all is the Atlantic. The terrace overlooks the beach and ocean, creating a wonderfully private outdoor space despite being only minutes from the centre of Albufeira.



Designed for Every Season

Casa Farol has been rebuilt and equipped with comfort throughout the year in mind. All bedrooms and living areas feature integrated air conditioning and ceiling fans, while underfloor heating throughout the house – still relatively unusual in Algarve holiday homes – makes Casa Farol particularly comfortable during the cooler months.

The result is a home that works just as well for a sunny summer escape as it does for a peaceful winter stay by the ocean.
