Friendly hotel in central location.
We were very happy with our stay in Hotel Savona. It's an a very central location to shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were impressed the covid 19 measures. Mask wearing, hand disinfectant and one way system entering and leaving hotel.

The premises urgently need a refurbishment. The breakfast buffet looked rather poor. A pity because the location is great.

Hotel is right in the centre of town so we could walk everywhere. Good food in restaurants and easy shopping access. However, hotel room has an old and dirty carpet. Bathroom was clean. There was a safe but a note said it was broken and couldn’t be used! Breakfast was nothing special.

This property is well located for all Alba attractions. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are decent, if somewhat outdated. Bathrooms could all use a renovation and upgrade. A nice breakfast buffet is offered, but it has not changed in the few years I've been using this hotel.

It’s an old hotel red updated but you get what you pay! The location is excellent, it was 3 minutes walk from Alba train station, and, it’s right next to the main Square where you can visit place of interest of Alba, as well as shopping, tasting Barolo wine in wine bars or restaurants. I will stay there again for convenient 👍

So so stay at Hotel Savona Alba
The hotel is locate in a good area near the center of Alba and the staff was very cordial but the hotel need major renovation is at list 30 years behind. One thing that was upset is that you can not put air conditioned in your room until the town decide it So I was there on April 19 and 20 with 80 degree temperature and no air conditioning. They should have mentioned on the hotel.com website no air conditioners till May 1. I had a group of 10 people and they were not happy.

We booked this room because of the parking advertised. However they only have a very limited number of parking spots. We ended up having to find street parking which made us uncomfortable because we had an expensive car that wasn't ours. Room was ok. Not terribly comfortable but reasonably clean. Breakfast was pretty decent.

Great location!
This was a lovely hotel with a wonderful location! The staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was great. I loved that you could walk out the door, and in 2 minutes you were in the heart of Alba! I definitely recommend this hotel.

the sheets were uncomfortable, the bed too firm, the shower too small and there was no shampoo etc. the staff was unhelpful. This is the worst hotel

Excellent location
Located in heart of town. Parking is available but not free (6 euros per day). Hotel is a little dated and tired but clean and a great base to discover the region. Night staff gave excellent recommendation of restaurant. Breakfast average but sufficient.

Perfect location, but in need of renovation
Cute hotel in the perfect location for anyone visiting the Langhe area. It could do with a nice makeover into the 21st century, but you're getting what you expect from the photos. Wifi didn't work in the room, but worked in the lobby. You're definitely paying for the location here, but clean and quaint overall.

I have stayed here about 5 times for business trips. It is an older hotel but the location is great, the breakfast is nice and the staff are very friendly. It is well kept and clean, if not at all modern. The parking is quite cheap too.

The Hotel Savona might have been a four star hotel 50 years ago but it's barely two these days. Tiny rooms and bathrooms from the 80's. Definitely time for a remod.

Amazing hotel in the heart of a beautiful town
We arrived late, were immediately made at home. We were hungry and the front desk staff called several local restaurants to establish who/where was open. Secure parking (impressive gate!!), clean, pleasant and very very friendly staff made this a great night.

Blast from the Past
A bit dated but so well kept and maintained, I felt like I stepped back in time. Location was great, room was great and service was good. I'd recommend stopping for a few nights. Enjoy the decor from a time gone by and feel like you are back in Italy in 1950's.

Great hotel
We had a lovely stay here at Hotel Savona. We were just passing through for the night and were more than pleasantly surprised. The man at the front desk was very helpful in arranging things for us to do the day we arrived as we hadn't planned anything - he really went above and beyond making suggestions, calling around, giving directions. Breakfast in the morning waswonderful - great variety of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, baked goods along with cereals, yoghurt, and biscuits. The location was great - Alba is a small town and easy to get around as well. It's also convenient to get into other neighboring towns for wine tastings and tours. Our room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that we would have preferred one double bed as opposed to two twins.

Hotel Savona was perfect- great price to quality relationship. Easy to find. Easy to park in hotel lot. Helpful reception. Best wifi we had on the trip in terms of reliability. Breakfast was realllllly good- there was half a wheel of Parmesan cheese there. I had to restrain myself. Older furnishings in the rooms, but still very nice and clean. Versace tiles in the bathroom- nice.

This is definitely one of the better hotel we stayed at in Italy. Free breakfast was quite good with made to order cappuccinos and hot chocolate. Lots of fresh fruit, which wasn't always the case with free hotel breakfast. We had a private bathroom, which is a must for me. No AC, but it was cool when we stayed here. Staff was very accommodating and patient with my limited Italian. Had free parking, for our motorcycle. All in all, a great value.

I thought the hotel was excellent. Really friendly staff, large room with a balcony and fantastic location in the old part of Alba. Parking was easy - on the street - free overnight, and about one euro per hour during the day. sunday daytime was free. We saw a hotel carpark, but were still advised to park in the street.

We chose hotel savona because it is in the centre of town and has secure car parking. We were not disappointed - the hotel is adjacent to all the restaurants and bars in the central area. Staff were friendly and the breakfasts wonderful.

Great Location / Old Hotel
The Savona is an old hotel that was remodeled about 10 years ago. The single rooms are small and the bathrooms could be a little better but overall the place is good. We have stayed there about five times over the last 20 years. The location cannot be beat and they have free parking.

Charm in the heart of Alba
Wonderful, central location. Lovely room - spacious with balcony. Private garage was full but street parking was not a problem. Accommodating, friendly staff. Great breakfast. Wonderful base for short drive to Bra, Barbaresco and Barolo for a day of wine tasting. Stayed two nights here and would definitely return.

Hotel Savona- the place to stay in Alba!
This hotel is located in the heart of Alba, and although it is well over 100 years old, it is elegant and charming. The staff handled all of my questions (I am a business traveler from USA) with utmost efficiency. I will always stay here when in Alba.
