"Found this hotel as a stop on the way from Spain to France .Friendly welcome, the restaurants was busy and really good value. Our waitress was a real card and humorous with it.
Cannot really fault this place
The is an area just up the hill - the Old Town, almost a film set from Dickens well worth a wander around here too."
"Hotel was nice, easy check in but really Really small town, there’s nothing to do. I was there for business meetings, I had to go to Bilbao for having fun "

"Good value for money. Surprisingly easy to get in and out of San Sebastián as there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. Swimming pool area could be better but the children didn’t mind! "

We stayed one night at the Mailan rural house in Orio, but it was enough to appreciate the care and affection with which Estíbaliz treats her guests. We had a super spacious and bright room on the second floor. The house has that vintage feel, with beautiful classic furniture and wooden floors that you don't find anywhere else. All of this is set in a beautiful garden. If you enjoy breakfast in the living room off the kitchen while admiring it, it's a great way to start the day. Highly recommended."
"The hotel is lovely. However, the location is extremely remote — it is not “minutes from everything” as they describe on their website. There is no car service or restaurants, or humans near by. There is literally nothing close to it — so not recommended for solo travelers & you definitely should not go without a car! To get anywhere costs at least €70++. The dining on property is limited — in lieu of the extravagant tasting menu at the Michelin rated restaurant which I’m sure is great, the only option to eat dinner was room service. Despite having another bistro on site, it apparently was only for aesthetics. The room was beautiful & comfortable. Somehow I ended up waking with bug bites in the morning all over my arms — which is hard to say came from the room but since that’s where I was for the day & night, because I had no where to roam — one can only assume. The staff was nice & if you want complete peace & quiet, this is the place for you!"
"Was a very pleasant stay. Carpark is right outside of the hotel. Safe and quiet area. Check in is smooth and hassle free. The front desk Mr Vega, is a gem:) friendly and helpful. Did not have any expectations as it is a stopover for a nite. It is about 15 mins drive to San Sebastián which is not difficult to navigate from the hotel.
Will return again if opportunity allows:) "
